Overfull boxes using m-cweb

Hello, I am running into overfull boxes when including a weaved cweb file into a context document. The original reference to the cwebmac.tex file (the plain TeX macro) is commented out and replaced by \usemodule[cweb]. The cweb macros appear to expand something into \*11ptmmmt* which seems to have something to do with it. Is there anyone here with experience and deep (Con)TeX(t) knowledge who understands what is happening? compound titles, lists and headers

Dear list, my publisher forces me to set different things as titles, in headers and table of contents. In some cases \nolist and \nomarking aren't enough. here are my actual definitions: ---- \def\Untertitel#1{\blank[3pt]{\ss\bf #1}\blank} % ok \def\Titel#1#2{{\nohyphens\chapter{#1}\Untertitel{#2}}} % ok \def\KomplexTitel#1#2#3{{\writetolist[chapter]{#3}\nohyphens\title{#1}\U ntertitel{#2}}} ---- with ---- \start \setupheadertexts[][manual entry][part][] % normally defined as [][chapter][part][] \KomplexTitel{Main chapter title}{chapter subtitle}{toc entry} Much text \stop % of other headertext ---- Real life example: \start \setupheadertexts [][Vorwort][][] \KomplexTitel{Die neutrale Schweiz und das globale Dorf}% {Vorwort von Prof.|~|Dr.|~|Heinrich Ott}% {Vorwort Prof.|~|Dr.|~|Heinrich Ott:\\Die neutrale Schweiz und das globale Dorf} ... Now there stay two issues: 1. I'd like to get a four-parameter command that can set the header text also. 2. I must get a line feed into the toc, but neither \\ nor \crlf works. Please help! Thanks. critical editions in context

Sorry if this is a double post; I sent this message on Friday, and I think it somehow got lost. In March/April 2002, Hans and Idris had an interesting exchange about the topic "critical editions in context" here in ntg-context; the main question was whether the functionality of edmac could be implemented in context. I'd be curious to know whether anything came out of it, I couldn't find any follow-up. Best Thomas

startappendices creates an extra empty page

Hi, When is use \startappendices \stopappendices to create appendices, I get an extra empty page. Is there a way to solve this? If I put another chapter after the \stopappendices statement, then there is no empty page. See the following test: \setupoutput[pdftex] \starttext \chapter[]{Chapter} This a chapter \section[]{Section} This a section \startappendices \chapter[]{Appendix} This the appendix \stopappendices % \chapter[]{extra} % This extra \stoptext Any suggestions? m-bib sorting, etc.

Another question on m-bib: Is it possible to get the bib list alphabetized? Or is the only way this can work if the bib file itself is so, and I use the bbl sort option? Also, I am getting some weird vertical spacing in the list (like extra blank space between a couple of entries). Is there any suggested workaround for this? Bruce

\index + \definedescription

Hello, In my document, I have a description defined in this way: \definedescription[DictEntry][headstyle=bold,location=serried,width=broad] I use the DictEntry description like this: ***************************************************************** \startDictEntry{Walters, Barbara (1931- )} a US television journalist known especially for her series Barbara Walters Special... \stopDictEntry \startDictEntry{Waterhouse, Keith (1929- )} an English journalist and writer of novels and plays... \stopDictEntry \startDictEntry{West, Rebecca (1892-1983)} an English writer and journalist. She wrote many novels... \stopDictEntry ... etc. ***************************************************************** What I would like to do is to automatically create an \index{} for every DictEntry so that every entry then appear in the register. Probably, I should use 'between' parameter when defining my DictEntry description, but I'm confused with what should be the proper argument in 'between=\index{???}. I would appreciate any help. I am trying to typeset 2 A5 pages onto 1 A4 page in landscape format, side by side. Thus typesetting the pages two at a time on one piece of paper, in their natural order, seeing them as a spread. Something like xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx x x x x 1 x 2 x going on for 3, 4, etc. x x x xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I do not seem to get that job done. The context code I tried: \setuppapersize[A5][A4,landscape] \setuplayout[location=doublesided,marking=on,grid=yes,header=0mm,margin= 12mm] \setuppagenumbering[location=footer,location=margin,alternative=doublesi ded] \setuparranging[2*1] % or [doublesided] or [mirrored] The \setuparranging (in the above variations) sends TeX into an infinite loop. Of course [2*2] will not work, it gives booklets of 4 pages instead of 2. Maybe it can be done without the \setuparranging, but I could not find out how. The context version I use is: ConTeXt ver: 2003.12.12 fmt: 2003.12.13 int: english mes: english I would appreciate some help very much. Hans van der Meer

Ahoi! I just reviewed my german ConTeXt tutorial and tried to tell the truth about all the table modes. Please correct me if I'm wrong: * tabulate - can break over several pages - [start|stop]tabulate[head|tail] should define a repeated head/tail, but it doesn't work - documented in the manual (cont-en[i|p]) * table - cannot break - based on Wichura's TaBlE (others not) - can be used as float (others not?) - documentation commercial at pctex.com (39 $), partly docs in "ConTeXt - an excursion" (m[s|p]-cb-en) * tables - same as table, but can break over several pages - [start|stop]table[head|tail] works - nowhere documented? * TABLE - didn't try page breaks yet; should it work? - [b|e]TABLE works; should [start|stop]TABLE also? - docs: up-to-date 8 (no link on HP!), enattab * new table mode? texexec --arrange and texexec --noarrange

Hi Contexters, Recently I tried to arrange pages of a document with texexec --arrange jobname In my environment file I setup the following: \setuppapersize[A5,portrait][A4,landscape] \setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided,location={footer}] % Arranging: \setuparranging[2UP] Of course I can comment the line of the arranging and just uncomment it for a single run hereafter to produce a PDF-file with arranged pages. When using texexec --arrange this should happen automatically. I realize, that the system is halted after systems: end file jobname at line 47 textblocks: writing textblocks to jobname.tub It looks like texexec is waiting for an input.... An identical situation occurs when issueing texexec --noarrange jobname Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug in texexec? Kind regards Willi texexec --noarrange
