Convertnumber with \ref[number] fails in MkIV, works in LMTX

Hello list, The following fails with ConTeXt ver: 2021.10.24 21:45 MKIV but works with the companion LMTX. The error message is:tex error > tex error on line 6 in file G:/TestConTeXt/convert.tex: ! Incompatible glue units , pointing to the second \convertnumber line. \definelabel[XX]%[text=,before=,after=,alternative=inright] \startTEXpage[offset=2em] abc\XX[xx]\par \ref[number][xx] · \convertnumber{r}{1} · \convertnumber{R}{\ref[number][xx]} \stopTEXpage In this case I am trying to display with roman numerals the number generated in the label created through \definelabel. TeXGyre Heros on Firefox

Dear all, there were some discussions on pdf viewers on the list and I know that things are not always fine. I now have a problems with the Firefox pdf viewer and TeX Gyre Heros. The font looks uneven in FF, no problems elsewhere. When I scroll into the pdf to set the display to 150% or more the font shows up just fine. So it seems to be a display problems with firefox. I tried several pdf versions no change. And the is another issue: To my big surprise ArialBold MT is included into the file. I am using the current lmtx. colors and contours in luametafun

Dear list, I am a huge fan of the new metafun interface. Hans asked for luametafun requests, so here are a few. - color by value in lmt_surface We want to show a surface plot of a function where the color indicates the function value (instead, or in addition to a light source). The easiest would be to have variable cf for the brightness factor (as it is), and in addition variables such as zt, minz, maxz, akin to the color formatter for lmt_contour. This becomes handy when colors are to be aligned with function values (e.g. negative = blue, zero = white, positive = red, see MWE attached). - controlling line levels in lmt_contour It would be convenient if certain levels could be set by the user. E.g. to make sure the zero level contour line is included. The user interface could potentially take a list, levels = { -1, -.5, 0, .5, 1 }, of contour level lines. See MWE attached. From my understanding marching squares can do that. A possible reference implementation could be QuadContourGenerator [1] in matplotlib, a bit of description can be found in [2]. - colormaps Contour plots often use rather complex colormaps, such as jet, rainbow or veridis. They are optimized for perceptual resolution, color blindness, screen/print or certain use cases. The functionality is already there, but from a user's perspective, it would be much easier if some of these were provided by the interface. The interface could be color = "colormap('jet')(l/n)". Indeed, these are useful in other use cases as well, such as bar charts, surface plots or shades. One rudimentary example is in the attached file. - number of levels in lmt_contour (potential bug) The number of levels is different from the user's input. Depending on the output range it can be lower or higher (see MWE attached). Setting up zint on a mac with macOS Montery Version 12.3.1

Hi All I have been struggling today trying to setup and use the Barcode module zint in ConTeXt and failed. I have followed the instructions on the wiki ( https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Barcodes ) but with some changes as follows. Which maybe why I failed. 1) I downloaded Zint using Homebrew since I'm using macOS, and installed it according to the instructions. 2) Since I'm using LMTX I looked for the file libzint.dylib and found it in /opt/homebrew/Cellar/zint/2.10.0/lib . This is different from the path given on the wiki. The directory contained three files, two of which were aliases, libzint.2.10.dylib and libzint.dylib, and an exe file libzint.2.10.0.0.dylib 3) I created the path $TEXROOT/tex/texmf-osx-64/bin/lib/luametatex/zint and copied libzint.2.10.0.0.dylib into but replaced dylib with 'so' as suggested on the wiki instructions. So I basically added lib/luametatex/zint to texmf-osx-64/bin . 4) I ran mtxrun --generate to update the database. 5) I ran the MWE below but no barcode appeared. The console output shows: /modules > using user prefixed file 'libs-imp-zint'/ // /modules > 'zint' is loaded/ however further down the output it gives: /optional > unable to locate library 'libzint'/ // I have tried renaming libzint2.10.0.0.so to libzint.so, but still no barcode. Is their something I am missing? Tips or hints appreciated. Hi, Thanks to Mojca's persistent efforts we now generate arm osx binaries on the build infrastructure, so lmtx now ships native arm bins for apples. There are also intel solaris builds now but no installers for those platforms (yet). XML Namespaces and XML Setups

lua-widow-control module error in LMTX

Hi, I would like to know if anyone has experienced the same error with the lua-widow-control module when compiling the pdf: modules > 'lua-widow-control' is loaded open source > level 2, order 3, name '/opt/luametatex/texmf-modules/tex/context/third/lua-widow-control/t-lua-widow-control.mkxl'. resolvers > lua > unknown file 'lua-widow-control.lua' lua error > lua error on line 74 in file /opt/luametatex/texmf-modules/tex/context/third/lua-widow-control/t-lua-widow-control.mkxl The odd thing is that line 75 of the t-lua-widow-control file is empty. On the other hand, I confess that I don't know what "resolvers" means when it says it doesn't know the lua-widow-control.lua file. I don't see any mention of this file within the t-lua-widow-control module. Could it be that this module is not yet mature for lmtx, or am I missing something? I have \usemodule[lua-widow-control] in my tex document, and I haven't forgotten to do the prescribed mtxrun --generate after including the module in my third-party folder of my luametatex installation on Arch. Fuzzy paragraph when exporting to XML

Hi, I am trying to debug a bug-report for t-vim: https://github.com/adityam/filter/issues/64 Exporting with trackers=export* gives a warning: backend > export > fuzzy paragraph: I have managed to narrow it down to the attached MWE (which does not depend on the t-vim module at all). Compiling it using $context --trackers=export\* lines gives the fuzzy paragraph warning. Any hints on how to resolve this? Thanks, Aditya
