Overfull boxes using m-cweb

Hello, I am running into overfull boxes when including a weaved cweb file into a context document. The original reference to the cwebmac.tex file (the plain TeX macro) is commented out and replaced by \usemodule[cweb]. The cweb macros appear to expand something into \*11ptmmmt* which seems to have something to do with it. Is there anyone here with experience and deep (Con)TeX(t) knowledge who understands what is happening? compound titles, lists and headers

Dear list, my publisher forces me to set different things as titles, in headers and table of contents. In some cases \nolist and \nomarking aren't enough. here are my actual definitions: ---- \def\Untertitel#1{\blank[3pt]{\ss\bf #1}\blank} % ok \def\Titel#1#2{{\nohyphens\chapter{#1}\Untertitel{#2}}} % ok \def\KomplexTitel#1#2#3{{\writetolist[chapter]{#3}\nohyphens\title{#1}\U ntertitel{#2}}} ---- with ---- \start \setupheadertexts[][manual entry][part][] % normally defined as [][chapter][part][] \KomplexTitel{Main chapter title}{chapter subtitle}{toc entry} Much text \stop % of other headertext ---- Real life example: \start \setupheadertexts [][Vorwort][][] \KomplexTitel{Die neutrale Schweiz und das globale Dorf}% {Vorwort von Prof.|~|Dr.|~|Heinrich Ott}% {Vorwort Prof.|~|Dr.|~|Heinrich Ott:\\Die neutrale Schweiz und das globale Dorf} ... listings.sty

Hello, I suggested to the author of the very feature rich LaTeX-Listings package, Carsten Heinz, to port this package to ConTeXt, and it seems, that he is interested. But before doing it, there are some questions: * What do Hans and other people thing about that? * listings.sty uses keyval.sty, how is the proper ConTeXt-way to do the same things as keyval, or should listings stay with keyval? Fleurons

Dear All I am in the process of learning the wonders of Context and enjoying the challenge. My Context is the stand alone version for Windows which I downloaded from the Pragma site. I'm getting used to using the Scite editor although it was a little difficult in the beginning. Just now I'm putting together some short stories and am having fun playing about with layout and using different kinds of fonts. Also I'm reading 'The Elements of Typographic Style' by Robert Bringhurst which is absolutely superb! I would never have thought that a book on typography would be so easy to read. In Bringhurst's book he mentions fleurons - "A horticultural dingbat" which I would like to access. I have looked through the Context manuals but with no success. Could someone give me some hints? Font size in FLOWchart module.

I am using the flowchart module to create various goodies. What I don't know how to do is regulate the size of the font for the text that goes inside the little boxes. 2 m-bib questions

Hello, here my m-bib questions: * The lost space after \cite[...], is it a bug or a feature? * I'm going to add some multi-lingual support to m-bib. My idea is, to replace in cont-XX.bst and bibl-XXX.tex "page" by "\pagename", "and" by "\andname" and so on. Is this method ok? If not, how should I do it (not too complicated please ;) ? Hi, There is a new feature + manual, for those who love obscure mechanisms. http://www.pragma-ade.com/general/manuals/xmanipulate.pdf Even if you dislike manipulations ... the manual mixes iwona and the new condensed latin modern monospace font. The preprocess feature is only supported by newtexexec. Problems with Natural Tables

Hello ConTeXters, my girlfriend writes her dimploma thesis now and I talked her into using ConTeXt, but now I'm not sure anymore that this was the right thing to do. So, the problems are numerous and some of them are: - how do I set the spacing between a vertical line (between two columns) and the text inside that columns? I already used "framedoffest=-3pt", but the output is unacceptable. - how do I center the whole table? This one is really crucial: my GF also accepts hacks ;). - why doesn't \splitfloat{\placetable...} work with Natural Tables? (They won't get splitted at all, but with tables and linetables it works...) - how do I refer to tables then? I have chosen Natural Tables because they were the only one that splitted correctly (tables and linetables let out 2/3 of a page). So, that's all for now. bye, Adam.

New ConTeXt with old teTeX problem?

Good evening. After some time I tried to install the newest ConTeXt over my old teTeX in SuSE Linux 9.2. Everything seems to work. I use texexec version 5.4.3 with ConTeXt version 2005.08.31. ConTeXt gives this warning: systems : pdfTeX version 110 -> please update systems : eTeX version 201 -> too old (bugs) Then it failes on the minimal file: % output=pdf \starttext text \stoptext and gives this error: ! Missing { inserted. <to be read again> r <argument> \pdfobj r eserveobjnum {}\setxvalue \pdffontresource {\the \pdflas... \firstofoneargument #1->#1 <argument> ...tencoding }\to \everybeforeshipout } \fi \fi \ifcsname \pdffont... \firstofoneargument #1->#1 \doincludepdffontresource ...cludepdffontresource \fi ... l.5 \stoptext What's the problem? The old pdfetex? How can I upgrade it without reinstalling the whole SuSE system? I wouldn't mind to reject the teTeX and use Pragma's mimimum TeX distribution, but it does'nt include Metafont and I still need some .mf bitmapped fonts. Can you help me please? Salvete, which tables allow using \noalign and in what places? E.g., the first of these works, but I'd also like to be allowed the second one (ignore what \pause does for the moment ...): \starttable[|c|c|c|] \HL \NC one \NC two \NC three \NC\AR \HL\noalign{\pause}% \NC one \NC two \NC three \NC\AR \noalign{\pause}\HL \stoptable I assume this has to do with trial typesetting or something like this, but what should I type instead? regards, Christopher
