Feature request: \digits command

Hi everyone, The \digits command is really great when it comes to typeset numbers in different languages. However, I miss one functionality from the numprint package in latex: when you type for example $e-5$, you get 10^{-5} (with no dot in front of it). Would it be possible to add an option to \digits to reproduce this? Best wishes, Morgan

Setting expansion depth limit for metapost

I'm preparing quite long presentation -- nearly 3000 sides, 900 figures (500 distinct PNG files). I'm using ConTeXt MkIV installed using minimals (2010.03.12 19:49). Recently I'm hitting MetaPost capacity limit on expansion depth: !mplib : mp terminal: ! MetaPost capacity exceeded, sorry [expansion depth=10000]. Increasing expand_depth in texmf.cnf and regenerating formats with context --make doesn't help. expansion depth is still at 10000 in error message. texmf.cnf in texmf-local I've changed is reported by context as first one in log line starting with "mkiv lua stats : used config path" What am I missing? Overfull boxes using m-cweb

Hello, I am running into overfull boxes when including a weaved cweb file into a context document. The original reference to the cwebmac.tex file (the plain TeX macro) is commented out and replaced by \usemodule[cweb]. The cweb macros appear to expand something into \*11ptmmmt* which seems to have something to do with it. Is there anyone here with experience and deep (Con)TeX(t) knowledge who understands what is happening? Textbackgrounds

Hi all, I've played with text backgrounds. Please have a look at the following example. \definetextbackground [test] [location=paragraph, % frame=off, % -> no round corners anymore corner=round, % -> corner=1|2|3… would be nice leftoffset=.5\bodyfontsize, rightoffset=.5\bodyfontsize, topoffset=.5\bodyfontsize, bottomoffset=.5\bodyfontsize] \setuphead [subject] [after=, command=\MyHead] \def\MyHead#1#2% {\framed [background=color, backgroundcolor=gray, frame=off, offset=.5\bodyfontsize, corner=3]{#1#2}} \starttext \subject{Test} \starttest \input tufte \stoptest \stoptext There is a nasty little space between the two backgrounds. How can I avoid it? Further the left borders of the frame are not aligned. I appreciate your help. Andreas

Hello, I'm working on a project to set up exams, basing the work on Aditya's asignment class that was published in Practex in 2006. I have a problem getting title information printed correctly. Bibliography -- complete inline citations in footnotes

Hi, I'm new to ConTeXt and I'm greatly appreciating the rejuvenation it brings me in typesetting after several years using LaTeX. I'm confronted to a few little problems though, the main one being that I'd need to have references both in the footnotes and at the end of a document. Under LaTeX I found that the "inlibib" package is doing exactly that, inserting some "ibid" and "op.cit." when required for repeting references. After reading the bibmod-doc, I thought I would temporarly solve the problem by simply using \setuppublications[refcommand=data] which I thought would put the reference in the same format as in the bibliography, but it doesn't compile. Does any one have a solution? Piotr

\stretched in chapter titles in MKII

I am trying to stretch two lines of text to the same width for use as a chapter head. I have two major problems: 1. The second line of text is appended to the end of the first line instead of being placed below it. 2. I get errors when using #1 and #2 as values, i.e {Chapter #1} and {#2}. two buglets

Hi all, working on a book project with index and bibliography, I discovered two small bugs (at least I think they are bugs): 1. index sorts uppercase letters after lowercase letters. Minimal example: \starttext \index{Aardvark}Aardvark \index{azygous}azygous \page \setupregister[index][n=1] \placeregister[index] \stoptext I would expect azygous to follow Aardvark, but it is sorted before. 2. (Maybe not a bug, but a somewhat unfriendly behavior): When a \cite command refers to a non-existent key and sort=bbl, ConTeXt bombs out with a lua error: !
