Status of Asymptote

Dear all, I'd like to know what is the status of Asymptote in Context. To my knowledge, metapost/metafun only support 2D (except with the additional libraries from Roegel, which would have to be cleaned up a bit). Otherwise, what shall be used for 3D drawings in Context? TikZ? Something else? Thanks in advance. Alex

Firefox doesn't show the "yes", nor Acrobat X, but SumatraPDF does. I modified your definition as: \definefield[test][check][cbox][][] And now the "yes" doesn't appear. Convertnumber with \ref[number] fails in MkIV, works in LMTX

Hello list, The following fails with ConTeXt ver: 2021.10.24 21:45 MKIV but works with the companion LMTX. The error message is:tex error > tex error on line 6 in file G:/TestConTeXt/convert.tex: ! Incompatible glue units , pointing to the second \convertnumber line. \definelabel[XX]%[text=,before=,after=,alternative=inright] \startTEXpage[offset=2em] abc\XX[xx]\par \ref[number][xx] · \convertnumber{r}{1} · \convertnumber{R}{\ref[number][xx]} \stopTEXpage In this case I am trying to display with roman numerals the number generated in the label created through \definelabel. TeXGyre Heros on Firefox

Dear all, there were some discussions on pdf viewers on the list and I know that things are not always fine. I now have a problems with the Firefox pdf viewer and TeX Gyre Heros. The font looks uneven in FF, no problems elsewhere. When I scroll into the pdf to set the display to 150% or more the font shows up just fine. So it seems to be a display problems with firefox. I tried several pdf versions no change. My configuration: \definefontfamily[mainfont][serif][texgyreheros] \definefontfamily[mainfont][sans] [textgyreheros] \definefontfamily[mainfont][mono] [texgyrecursor][features=none] \definefontfamily[mainfont][math] [texgyrepagellamath] \definefallbackfamily [mainfont] [rm] [Latin Modern Math] [scale=0.925, range=0x22C0] \definefontfeature[smallcaps][script=latn, protrusion=quality, expansion=quality, smcp=yes, onum=yes, pnum=yes] \setupalign[hz,hanging] \setupitaliccorrection[global, always] Is there anything I can do? And the is another issue: To my big surprise ArialBold MT is included into the file. I am using the current lmtx. ConTeXt meeting 2022 – please register!

Hi folks & friends, I’d like to remind you to register for the current ConTeXt meeting (September 12–18 in Germany), we must close registration in about two weeks, and my list is still rather short. https://meeting.contextgarden.net/2022/ If you registered early and got only an error message from the form, please register again. And please don’t think you could avoid a registration because everyone knows you’ll come (except Hans). Otherwise it’s normal that you got no response from me (sorry!). We have no Covid restrictions in Germany any more, even if the incidences are high, except that you must wear a mask in trains and are asked to in some other places. I’d ask you to test yourself before traveling. It would be nice if you would register also for online attendance, just for my information. Since the regular online meetup would be during the conference, we will drop that. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Hraban

Hi, I thought I could use more than one fallback font, but as soon as I list fallbacks, they stop working. In my example, I’d like to take all missing glyphs from Segoe UI Symbols, and what’s still missing (emojis) from EmojiOneColor, preferably without specifying the exact range. Set up external figure for particular image type

A document has a mix of SVG and PNG images. Changing the parameters for `\setupexternalfigure` affects both SVG and PNG images. Consider the following code: \setupexternalfigures[ order={svg,pdf,png,jpg}, location={local,default,global}, directory={images}, maxwidth=\textwidth, maxheight=0.4\textheight ] I'd like to change the `maxheight` option for only PNG images, such as: \setupexternalfigure[ method=png, maxwidth=\textwidth, maxheight=\textheight, ] However, this affects SVG images as well. How do you apply different external figure setups based on image type? Thank you!
