Undefined control sequence: \pdfpxdimen

The drops module uses the primitive \pdfpxdimen in a couple of places, but that is no longer defined in the current beta. What is the equivalent command now? Examples of usage: \pdfpxdimen1in\relax\divide\pdfpxdimen\numexpr\dropsparameter\c! resolution\relax % set actual pixel dimension Aditya

Outputting custom types in MKiv bibliography

Hello, I’m trying to create my first publication using ConTeXt mkiv. All going well except for the bibliography formatting. Previously I have used LaTeX, standard entry types in BibTeX, and custom output formats using Biblatex. My publication cites lots of historical sources, viz.: (1) Newspaper articles — currently stored as ‘article’ types in BibTex. (2) Archival sources (historic letter, some leather-bound volume, a catalogued box of old photographs, etc.) — currently stored as ‘unpublished’ or ‘misc'. I would prefer to store these (in BibTeX, buffer, lua, or xml) as custom types (eg. ‘newspaper’, ‘archivalItem’), create setups for how they are output and which fields I output. I found a ’newspaper’ type (and other non-BibTeX types) defined in publ-imp-apa.mkiv as: \startsetups btx:apa:list:newspaper \fastsetup{btx:apa:list:article} \stopsetups I hoped this would mean I could output something: Boxing. (1903, September 13). The Sunday Times, p.8 However, if I create an item of type 'newspaper’ and \cite it I get an output of all stored fields: newspaper: [day: 13] [journal: {The Sunday Times}] [month: 09] [pages:8][title: {Boxing.}] [type: newspaper article] [year: 1903] A similar thing happens if I try to cite the standard BibTeX type ‘misc’. If I store the newspaper item as type ‘article’ I get: “Boxing.”, The Sunday Times, 8, 1903. (missing day and month) Is it relevant that there is a problem when I include \showbtxfields[rotation=30] in my document? The resulting table has ‘*’ for fields in ‘article’, ‘book’, ‘demo-a’, ‘demo-b’ but the columns for ‘newspaper’ and ‘misc’ are empty. Any pointers gratefully received. Cheers, Mike O’Connor P.S. Feature request: \digits command

Hi everyone, The \digits command is really great when it comes to typeset numbers in different languages. However, I miss one functionality from the numprint package in latex: when you type for example $e-5$, you get 10^{-5} (with no dot in front of it). Would it be possible to add an option to \digits to reproduce this? Best wishes, Morgan

Label problems with \definelabel and \defineenumeration, in and out of footnotes

The example below documents the problems. In short, \definelabel suppresses paragraph indent when the label is at the beginning of a paragraph and fails to print the label or generate references with alternative=inmargin (or inright, or inleft) when in a footnote. \defineenumeration fails to work in a footnote. \setupindenting[yes,small] \definelabel [ID][ %\defineenumeration[ID][ text=, after=, before=, headcolor=red, alternative=inright, ] \starttext \starttitle[title={Label testing}] \startsubject[title={Problems with \tex{definelabel}}] This is a test. It is only a test. \ID[id1]This paragraph should be indented, with an ID number in the margin. When \tex{ID} is placed at the beginning of the paragraph, as it is here, the paragraph is not indented. This paragraph has a footnote.\footnote{% \ID[id2]The ID number is not printed in the margin with {\tt alternative=inright}, {\tt alternative=inmargin}, or {\tt alternative=inleft}. Without any {\tt alternative} the ID number is printed where the macro appears. The positioning is unsatisfactory using {\tt alternative=right}.% } The footnote has an ID number which should be printed in the right margin. This \ID[id3]paragraph has an ID, but it is not at the beginning of the paragraph and the paragraph is properly indented. The value of the ID number indicates that \tex{ID} in the footnote of the previous paragraph incremented the associated counter, but the failure of the references (\tex{in} and \tex{at}) to id2 suggests that there are other problems. \dorecurse{3}{ ID id#1 is \in[id#1] and is on page \at[id#1].\par} References for footnotes are generated without \tt{alternative=}. \stopsubject \startsubject[title={Problems with \tex{defineenumeration}}] When \tex{definelabel} is changed to \tex{defineenumeration}, the example fails to compile. Bug: Paragraph formatting on new page after placefigure

ConTeXt version: 2015.08.21 19:57 In the PDF output of the following code, the first text line on the second page only spans half the textwidth. Problem with definelabel and footnotes

I have a document with hundreds of labels generated by \definelabel. They are used to index quotations in the text. Some of these occur in notes. Previously I had all such notes at the end of the book, as endnotes, but an editor requested a version with the notes as traditional footnotes. When the notes with labels appear in footnotes, the labels are not printed. The MWE below demonstrates the problem. I would expect to see a red 2 at the end of the first line of the footnote. I have tried to use \defineenumeration instead of \definelabel, but I cannot get a comparable result to what I have with definelabel. Creating SVG: using MetaFun, exporting proper units, conversion to DXF

Hi, I want to play with CNC and don't yet have any experience with CAD software (nor the licence for the expensive ones) other than perhaps some Blender, so I decided to try to use the super ugly route with metapost -> svg -> dxf -> g-code for the first time. I have a few questions. (1) I love Hans' shortcuts in metafun, but I seem to remember that things like input metafun; or perhaps input mp-tool; used to work, so that I don't have to remember to use mpost -mem=metafun my-drawings.mp when compiling the graphics. Did the method with "input" ever work (or is it supposed to work)? Now I'm getting a bunch of weird errors. I would love to specify everything in the source file and then just call mpost. If that doesn't work, that's fine, I can still add "-mem=metafun", but ... (2) I guess that using "raw metapost" is the only sane way to generate SVG. If I use metapost inside ConTeXt that's probably not going to work, right? (3) Is there any way to convince the SVG output mode to generate something like <svg ... width="100.0mm" height="100.0mm" ... > rather than <svg ... width="283.46456692913387" height="283.46456692913387" ... > because the program I use to convert SVG to DXF has troubles interpreting "points" properly. I read somewhere that they assume 90 points per inch because that's Inkskape's default. (4) Does anyone have a better proposal for conversion into DXF (or G-code)? I'm currently playing with FreeCAD and I've seen some tutorials showing that AutoCAD can open PDF directly, but I don't want to buy AudoCAD just for the sake of converting files. (Not to mention that FreeCAD's SVG importer crashes when reading output from MetaPost unless I manually remove parts of the SVG, but that's an unrelated problem that I'm somehow able to overcome.) Opentype features and space after comma in math mode

Hello list, Two questions: 1) How can i enable opentype features (onum, lnum, tnum) in math mode? 2) How can i avoid the space after comma in math mode?
