Multi-line equation and placement of the number

Hello Context user, I'm trying to display a multi-line equation with a single number aligned with the last line. According to "The TeXbook" I should use \eqalignno{} for that. Unfortunately, this gobbles up the number. The other method of aligning th parts of my long equation (\eqalign) puts the number in the vertical center. How am I supposed to do this? Strange error while generating format

Hello, all-- I am trying to set up a new version of ConTeXt (the latest stable version, I guess? I downloaded it from Pragma ADE yesterday). But when I run 'texexec --make en' I get the following error: (/usr/share/texmf/tex/context/base/page-imp.tex loading : Context Core Macros / Pagebody Building system (E-TEX) : [line 736] \dimexpr ! Undefined control sequence. l.743 \setuppaper ? I say this is strange because I'm sure \setuppaper is defined--and if it weren't, surely it would have been noticed and corrected by now. I think all ConTeXt files are in their proper places ... at least, they are in the same places they were in a previous working installation. Some pertinent facts: TeX distribution: teTeX 1.0.2 Major addons: pTeX 2.0 (but as far as I know this doesn't replace core files) Platform: Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 Maybe the files are getting loaded in the wrong order? But I can't think of any reason why that might happen. Or have I missed some important step? Macros for Croatian dj & DJ

Hello Hans! Here I'm again :-) In order to completely solve the issues with typesetting Croatian texts with ConTeXt I've found a file with TeX macros which produce correct \DJ - you can see the attached file dj.tex I have also included snapshot (DJ.jpg) which shows dstroke & Dstroke produced with these new macros (default cmr font). I commented present definition for DJ in enco-mis.tex and replaced it with the following: \def\pseudoencodedDJ % like in babel, but safer {\leavevmode \rlap{\kern 0.05em\raise 0.76ex\hbox {\vrule height 0.10ex width 0.28em}}D} However, I hope that there is some room for improvement, but being not proficient in programming TeX, I am humbly asking you to use your TeX expertise to resolve this issue once and for all. Personally, I'm so exciting to be able to typeset Croatian with utf-8 encoding in ConTeXt (I'm also using dbcontext package to transform DocBook XML --> ConTeXt, but we need some ConTeXt help to achieve better transformation.) incrementnumber of part vs. not showing up in table of contents

Hi, When i \setuphead[part][incrementnumber=no] so that all the chapter numbering will be continuous, the part doesn't show up in my Table of Contents. when i change it to 'yes' or remove incrementnumber, the part shows up in the ToC, but the chapters are now reset to 1 at each part break. Docbook In Context: new version uploaded

Hi, I have uploaded a new version of DocbookInContext. This version has an implementation of attribute actions on an experimental basis; see the file Customization for an explanation and details. Of course the release also contains numerous new small features and fixes. The release has been tested with the Context version of 4 March 2003. Known problem of this release: Sometimes Context inserts a spurious pagebreak; this seems to be connected with the use of backgrounds. I have noted a similar problem with the Index. repetition of table headers with nattab

Hi! Is it possible to achieve repetition of table headers with natural tables model? I also have problem to get split tables by using \setupTABLE[split=yes]. It's only possible with \bTABLE[split=yes] as I've found in ml archive. small font size for figure captions

Hi. I am having trouble finding how to get a smaller font size for the text like, "Figure 1.1 Dinosaurs are Fun". I can change the font size for "Dinosaurs are Fun" manually, but then "Figure 1.1" stays big, which looks funny. Installation problems

Hallo! I don't understand fontinstallation and fontselection at all. I tryed the following: ---------------------------------------------- \setupbodyfont[ppl] \starttext Blub. \stoptext ---------------------------------------------- First the tfm for 'ec-uplr8a' is not found. Why? What have I to change? Then I used Patricks 'adobekb' and the two lines: ---------------------------------------------- \usetypescriptfile[adobekb] \usetypescript[adobekb][\defaultencoding] ---------------------------------------------- in cont-sys.tex I get an error from dvi-viewer, that an pk-file for 'pplr8t' is missing. There is neither an vf-file with this name. Then I tried to change the encoding and changed cont-sys.tex to: ----------------------------------------------- \setupencoding[default=8r] \usetypescriptfile[adobekb] \usetypescript[adobekb][\defaultencoding] ----------------------------------------------- This time, the pk-file for 'pplr8r' is not found. An equivalent vf-file is missing too. This is the second installation of tetex, the first was debian original, this is TeX Live 7. What can I do, to make the whole thing running? Tired, Wolfgang

numbering of floats

Hi all, I had (have) a problem with numbering of floats. I use three kind of floats, generic figure and table and mine inherited graph. Of course, tables and graph are numbered separately. When the floats would be renumbered (in my case I had "table 3" in the document before "graph 2") the floats are renumbered badly -- result was "graph 3" before "table 2". So floats and their captions ar OK, but numbers not. Any ideas? Natural tables alignment

Hi all, before some time I asked if there is some way to define alignment of bTABLE if it is used onside text, not as an float. Hans answered me, if I remember, it needs new option. Was not made some advance? I cannot enclose table into hbox, because this solution denies automatic table splitting (over pages).
