Getting { in the input.

Again I'm having some problems generating my ASCII table, this time it's { and } that are the culprits. I'm currently using $\{$ and $\}$ for them, but it would be great if there was a way to get them rendered like the other characters that have \type{...} surrounding them. Overwritten metapost files

How was it one avoided getting metapost overwritten? Hello, how could I get stretchable space between paragraphs, tables and figures, so that the last line of a page flushes always to the bottom? \setupwhitespace[0pt plus 1pt] does not seem to work... Grid, section, grid=top

Dear ConTeXt hackers, on a new project I'd like to use grid snapping. One section level should have grid=top to get some distance between the text preceding the section heading and the heading itself. This works fine. But when the section starts at a new page I don't want any extra line inserted at the top. amsl: startcases/stopcases

Hello Giuseppe, I'm having a little trouble with the cases in amsl. Compiling this: \[ f(x) = \startcases 0 & \text{if $x < -\epsilon$} \\ \frac12 & \text{if $x > \epsilon$} \stopcases \] results in an error around the \frac. Changing it to \dfrac makes the input compile ok, but typesets the cases in an ugly manner with really narrow spacing. Is there some way of telling startcases/stopcases to behave in display mode? miktex searching

Hi, Because i frequently use texmfstart to locate/launch/etc binaries, scripts and other things in the textree, i need to make sure that it also works with miktex. Do miktex users have kpsewhich on their system (or is this an option), or should i use a miktex specific search tool? Underscore in tables

How do I get underscores (_) into a table? I'm producing an ASCII chart, and as character 95 is _ I would like it to show up as such. Right now I get a high dot. Cell padding in natural tables

Hello, There was that question to which I could not find an answer: http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2002/000140.html So, is there a way to set the cell padding in natural tables? And by the way, is there a way to lock the total width of the table without setting the width of individual cells? Regards, David

m-bib sorting, etc.

Another question on m-bib: Is it possible to get the bib list alphabetized? Or is the only way this can work if the bib file itself is so, and I use the bbl sort option? Also, I am getting some weird vertical spacing in the list (like extra blank space between a couple of entries). Is there any suggested workaround for this? Bruce
