Footnotes on wrong page

I wrote about this a few days ago, but did not get a response, perhaps because I included sample code. So...this time I am including the main part of my code so you can perhaps see what I am doing wrong. My problem is that many of my footnotes show up on the wrong page. Sometimes the text that references the footnote is at the bottom of a page, and the footnote number shows up with a small graphic arrow next to it. In these cases, the actual footnote text will show up on the next page. Also in this case, the footnote number with the footnote text will usually be labeled "1", even though the next footnote after it (the one that really belongs on that page) is numbered "1" also. Sometimes footnote numbers appear in the text even though there is no footnote on any page that has that number. Any help is appreciated. Using doublesided and even blank page shows header

I have the following in my environment setup: \setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided,location=] I am properly getting the doublesided page setup. Also, chapters begin only on odd pages, which is exactly what I want. However, when a chapter ends on an odd page, the next (even) page that I would like to be completely blank instead contains both the header and footer. I found one other thread in this forum that told how to make this extra even page totally blank. However, I am not an advanced ConTeXt user yet, and I did not understand how to implement the solution. Is there a simple explanation of how to eliminate the header and footer on this even page? Treat last element in a commalist differently

Hi, I am trying to write a macro so that \SEQ X[1,2,3] expands to $X_1, X_2, X_3$ \SEQ X[1-N] expands to $X_1, \dots, X_N$ and \SEQ X expands to ${\bf X}$. So far I have \def\SEQ#1% {\dodoubleempty\doSEQ[#1]} \def\doSEQ[#1][#2]% {\ifsecondargument \mathematics{\processcommalist[#2]{\dodoSEQ{#1}}} \else \mathematics{\bold{#1}}\fi} \def\dodoSEQ#1#2% {#1_{#2},} \starttext \SEQ X[1,2,3] is part of \SEQ X. \stoptext There is an extra comma at the end. Font problems (Palatino)

When trying to typeset for example a document using the mag-01 module I get an error that from what I understand is font related. I'm using MacOS 10.4.6 (on intel), and I do have the Palatino font. Why do I get the error and how can the problem be resolved? Using the latest version of Gerben’s i-Installer (expert mode), I completely erased teTeX, re-installed the 2005 x86pc version, and then re-installed the latest ConTeXt. cd /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/web2c/ grep agr cont-en.log produces encoding : coding agr is loaded (/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/tex/context/base/enco-agr.tex) language : patterns for agr not loaded language : patterns for agr not loaded and no more, which means that the ancient Greek hyphenation patterns are not available, though they presumably should be since the files lang-agr.hyp and lang-agr.pat are in the right place, /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/tex/context/patterns/. When I try to regenerate the formats using sudo ruby /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/scripts/context/ruby/ texmfstart.rb texexec --make --all I get the error message language : patterns agr for agr loaded (n=24,e=agr,m=agr) (/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/tex/context/patterns/lang-agr.pat ! Nonletter. \rawcharacter ...r\or \or \or \or \or \or \or \or \or \or \or \... l.37 α2Ϊ 1 ? So no Greek hyphenation. I am baffled. And Thomas cannot reproduce the problem at his end. So, if anyone has any suggestions they will be gratefully received. By the way, if it is at all relevant, I am running Mac OS X 10.4.6 on a Power Mac G4 450 MHz. Page Numbers in TOC; setuplabeltext

In the table of context for my documents, I would like Chapters to have page numbers with alternative=c. However, my Appendices are not paginated so I do not want them to have page numbers in the TOC. Since (apparently), Appendix inherits from Chapter, each Appendix is listed in the TOC with leading dots and page number "0" regardless of what I put in \setuplist [appendix] when using \placecontent or \completecontent. So I tried creating my own head (based on title) and list. Placing this list under the TOC gives me the effect I want (Appendices are listed without dots or page numbers). Unfortunately, setuplabeltext doesn't seem to work on my newly defined head. I've tried all manner of variations like: \definelist [myappendixlist] \setuplist [myappendixlist] [pagenumber=no,alternative=b,label=yes,conversion=Character] \definehead[myappendix][title] \def\appendixlabel#1#2{Appendix #1: #2} \setuphead[myappendix][command=\appendixlabel] % \setuplabeltext [en][myappendix=Appendix~] \newcounter\myappendices \long\def\myappendix#1% {\ifhmode\unskip\fi \doglobal\increment\myappendices\relax \high{\myappendices}% \expanded{\writetolist[myappendixlist]{\myappendices}}{#1}} 1) Is there a way to suppress the display of Appendix page numbers in a TOC while retaining alternative=c for Chapters? 2) Assuming the answer to (1) is no, how do I enable display of labels in my custom defined head?
