Bug in index references (or feature?)

Hello Hans and others, I've found a strange behavior of the index references. If there are two (or more) references to the same term on one page, each one in another chapter, there will be two (or more) references to the same page number in the index. The attached sample demonstates it clearly: - If the same term is referred in different chapter ("Term" or "Another term"), then there are multiple references to the same page in the index. - It the term is referred more times within the same chapter ("Yet another term"), then there's only one reference in the Index. I consider this behavior a bit confusing. Maybe it has it's meaning when interaction is used (but it's inconsistent anyway), but it definitely look like an error in printed documents. What do you guess think this? Thanks, Richard

Trailing spaces in descriptions

I want to have a description with a trailing ':' after the description term, so I have this: \def\FieldTitle#1{#1:} \definedescription [ReSTfield] [headstyle=bold, location=hanging, width=broad, distance=1em, command=\FieldTitle] But this leaves me with: Field : text ^^^ How do I get rid of the whitespace? -- Daniel Wallin

Writing a ConTeXt module for R

Since I sometimes use the open-source statistics environment R (http://www.r-project.org) as well as ConTeXt, I thought a module that could typeset R code as well as evaluate it on the fly would be useful. Borrowing largely without understanding but lots of trial and eror from m-gnustep.tex, I came up with the attached. Limited testing indicates it works, but at least one problem is apparent: the R code snippets have one unnecessary line break to start them and two after the end. How can I fix that? Of course, any other suggestions are also welcome. A recent R needs to be in the path, but given that, it seems to work on Windows XP as well as Linux. XeTeX working on Windows as well !!!

Hello all, I have no idea when this came out, but it works like a charm! http://www.fsci.fuk.kindai.ac.jp/kakuto/win32-ptex/web2c75-e.html I didn't try out ConTeXt + XeTeX yet (I only played with plain XeTeX a bit), but the fact that the distribution includes the latest ConTeXt (even more recent that the one on the pragma-ade.com, namely the version of 30th May :) and that it includes texmfstart.exe makes me feel that I'll love that Japanese TeX distribution!
