Hey folks, My book was compiling fine with the Jan 27th nightly, but kicks the bucket with the Feb 5th build: ! Problem with letter module

Hi, I am writing a letter with the 'letter' module (mkiv and last beta) and the \encl{} command doesn't work anymore. I know that the module has been rewriten recently but I can't find any doc or examples of the new syntax. I tried to look at the source code but it doesn't help. A5 on A4 - top/left-corner of A5 should be 0,0

Hello I have put an A5-page on A4-paper. And then I put a cow on to the page ... but it should be on the top/left-corner of the A5-page instead of the A4-page: I know, one posibility would be to use x=... and y=... in \definelayer. Hello Wolfgang, this was atricky one to track down: If in my first line after \startletter I’ve a comment containing another \startletter, I get: \stoptext ! fakebold not working

Hi there, I have tried to fake bold and italic fakes for Theano Didot (only experimenting) as explained on the wiki (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Fonts_in_LuaTeX#Handling_special_cases) My code is the following: \usemodule[simplefonts] \setupbodyfontenvironment[default][em=italic] \definefontfeature[fakeitalic][default][slant=.25] \definefontfeature[fakebold][default][stretch=2] \definefontfeature[fakebolditalic][default][slant=.25, stretch=2] \setmainfont[Theano Didot][italicfont={* Regular}, boldfont={* Regular}, bolditalicfont={* Regular}, italicfeatures=fakeitalic, boldfeatures=fakebold, bolditalicfeatures=fakebolditalic] \starttext hi there {\em hi there} {\bf hi there {\em hi there}} \stoptext But fro some strange reason, I don't get the fake bold versions. Graphics positioning problems in current/recent betas

I have been studying the Details manual and have found that many of the examples presented there do not work correctly with the current or recent betas. The ones I have tested work correctly on texshow and with the Texlive 2011 (MkIV Luatex) version. 1. Question marks in bibliography entries [solved]

Hello all, I am presenting an answer rather than a question, for a change. (Though as usual it's about bibliographies.) Last November, Renald Buter posted a question about how to suppress the full stop which follows a publication title in the case where the publication title itself ends in a question mark -- this produces entries like Authorname, A. (1990) A rhetorical question?. Journal of etc. etc. which doesn't look nice. At the time I gave some untested suggestions. Now (due to a sharp-eyed thesis examiner) I've actually had to test and implement a solution. For anyone else with this problem, I've written it up at http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Question_marks_in_bibliography_entries . As usual with BibTeX-y things, it's a hack, but it does the job. Details.pdf -- how current?

Given that ConTeXt has been under development for 10 years since the Details manual was written, can someone tell me how much of the material in is still applicable to recent betas? The examples use parameters that are not documented on the wiki, such as "inner" (\setupfloat) in this example on p.61: \setupfloat [edgefigure] [default={inner,height,high,low,none}, maxwidth=4cm, margin=\strutdepth] -- Peter Park Nelson peter.park.nelson(a)gmail.com

A bug in latin modern fonts?

Hi! The following example seems to have some troubles with the latin modern fonts: \starttext The function $f \colon \reals \to \reals$ is given by $x \mapsto x - 3$. \stoptext The colon is printed fine, but the blackboard bold Rs don't look correct. The \mapsto symbol is missing and there's a hyphen instead of minus. Are others having the same issue? I tried to do a fresh install, but the problem persisted. There were some messages like fonts > otf loading > skipping cyclic reference U+00028 in math variant U+00028 during compiling. I don't know if they are related to the problem. Thanks, Janne Junnila

\definelayout[first] does not yield to default layout on page 2

First-page layout is an issue that I have asked about before, but maybe I am doing something wrong. Here is my question in an earlier thread: http://archive.contextgarden.net/message/20111228.041922.c60f9cd5.en.html . I want to define a layout for the first page of my document with different header and footer formatting -- specifically, no header and a large footer to hold publication information. Based on examples on Contextgarden and this list, I think my code below is correct. However, the first page formatting is continued on all pages of the document.
