Bibliography problem

Problem with Lua processing UTF8 substrings

Hello ConTeXist, I want to use Lua to write characters (substrings) from a string, but I get an error message: ! String contains an invalid utf-8 sequence. I tried various Lua functions for working with UTF8 strings for example: string.subutf8(string, start[,end]) for i, char in str:nextutf8(orig_pos) string.lenutf8(string), but without success. Can you please someone help? \cite fails with “Extra ...”

Hi all, when updating some module documentation I came across this one: ································································· \startpublication [ k=mt, t=book, a={Bodoni}, y=1818, n=1, s={Manuale}, ] \author[]{Giambattista}[]{}{Bodoni} \pubyear{1818} \title{Manuale Tipografico, 2~vols} \city{Parma} \stoppublication \starttext foo \cite[authoryear][mt] bar \stoptext ································································· This definitely works with the beta from 2011-11-04, but not with the one from 2012.01.25. setupheads[sectionnumber=no] (and retrocompatibility issue)

Hello there. See this minimal example. %% cut here \setupheads[sectionnumber=no] \starttext \placecontent \chapter{Chapter} \section{Section} \subsection{Subsection} \stoptext %% end With version: 2012.01.25 14:16 the numbers are there (and if I tweak the ToC listing I get a mess). With the current (2011.05.18 22:26) everything is fine. Using [number=no] with the beta the numbers disapper, while the current prints out the numer (and again a mess in the ToC). http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Reference/en/setupheads says that the right command is sectionnumber, but it's obviously outdated. GSUB init, medi, fina and .fea file

Hi there, I have the following OpenType feature archive (intended to use diferent forms for initial and medial/final beta, theta and phi): languagesystem DFLT dflt ; feature init { sub uni03D0 by uni03B2 ; sub uni03B8 by uni03D1 ; sub uni03D5 by uni03C6 ; } init ; feature medi { sub uni03B2 by uni03D0 ; sub uni03D1 by uni03B8 ; sub uni03C6 by uni03D5 ; } medi ; feature fina { sub uni03B2 by uni03D0 ; sub uni03D1 by uni03B8 ; sub uni03C6 by uni03D5 ; } fina ; I use it with this file: \usemodule[simplefonts] \definefontfeature[default][default][script=latn,init=yes,medi=yes,fina=yes,featurefile={greeksubs.fea}] \setmainfont[Theano Didot] \starttext βάρβαρος φιλοσοφία θεάσασθαι \stoptext But for some strange reason, even with this font I don't get the initial theta (uni03D1) and middle . If I change the font, add \agr to the text, change the script or remove Latin for the default font feature, GSUB no longer work. As far as I understand, the default rules should be independent from script, language and font. What am I missing here or doing simply wrong? Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.oudeis.tk

Links in TOC not working properly?!

Hi, I installed the newest upgrade of ConTeXt, but processing my files yields strange results! In an interactive document the links to the different sections are not working any more. Selecting the different sections from the table-of-contents (with \placelist command!) all yield a jump to the very first section!!! Regards, Gerard Verhaag P.S. TextBackground text area

Hey folks, I've been pulling my hair out for hours, as I can't seem to figure out how to set the margin with and height for a textbackground area so the text doesn't start immediately at the left frame line and go to the right frame line.
