I am so disappointed that I cannot attend the upcoming ConTeXt meeting in Brejlov, but as I type this I am remembering vividly the hospitality and affection shown by all at the 2010 meeting, especially Pavel's father, to this tee-totalling vegetarian---not something that lands up at the Brejlov Inn too often, I imagine! The reason for my absence this year is that I will be heading to India shortly to conduct what is known as "antim yatra" (final journey) in Hindi for my mother; I'll leave the details of what that implies to those who wish to search on DuckDuckGo ;). Anyway that is strictly an aside to this post. You'll have to forgive me if I am feeling sentimental, but Prague does, as it has throughout its history, enter one's soul. To walk through its streets is to be smitten by it for life. Recently I picked up a book that I would like to share as it may help provide a context to those travelling through Prague on their way to Brejlov. Broken nightly (2013.09.18)

Hey list, 2013.09.18 appears to be broken. When typesetting my book, I receive the following fatal error... ! Overwriting buffer causes LuaTeX error

bug? gap appears in columnset

Hello, We have a document where a gap occurs in a columnset under certain conditions. It seems to be a confluence of: - 2 sections, each with 2-column columnsets - \page[empty] between them - the 2nd section has a tighter interline space The problem is that on the first page of the second section, a two-line gap appears where gridlines 50 and 51 are. It may be a coincidence, but 50 is also the number of lines per page in the first section. We've found that "coincidence" to be true even with different page and font sizes. Can anyone tell us a way to get rid of the gap? We've tried things like \setupcolumnsetlines[columnsetbibliography][1][1][-1] \setupcolumnsetlines[columnsetbibliography][1][2][-1] with various values for the last parameter, but nothing helps. Below is a small, self-contained sample. Thanks for any help you can give. Inline math in table in combination fails

Hi, The following example results in the error “You can't assign a glue_spec node to a prev field” \starttext \startcombination [2*1] {\starttable [|c|] \NC \math{1} \VL\NR\HL \stoptable}{} {\starttable [|c|] \NC \math{2} \VL\NR \stoptable}{} \stopcombination \stoptext It works without the combination, without the vertical or horizontal rule and when no math mode is used. It used to work some time ago, so I assume it's a bug. Marco

Clean Machine, MacTeX 2013 installed, ConTeXt problem

As my computer died I had to set up a clean one. section numbers in margin eventually get placed too far left

This test file ================================================== \setuplayout[leftmargindistance=0.125in, leftmargin=0.625in, width=4.75in, rightmargindistance=0.25in, rightmargin=0.25in] \setuphead[section][alternative=inmargin] \showframe \starttext \dorecurse{6}{\section{Blah} \input tufte } \stoptext ================================================== asks for section numbers in the left margin, separated from the section title by the leftmargindistance. It works fine for the first four sections. But sections 5 and 6 (on page 2) have the section number shifted further left from the correct position by roughly 10pt or so. It seems very sensitive to the layout. If I change the leftmargindistance to 0.25in, the section numbers are all placed correctly. I noticed the problem on my default context version: ConTeXt ver: 2013.05.28 00:36 MKIV current [from the Debian TL2013 pkgs] It also happens with the live ConTeXt and with vanilla TL2013. (Though it works fine with MKII.) Is this a bug, or just a change in setuphead that I didn't take account of? -Sanjoy

The following fails with an “Unknown control sequence” error.
