Hans, I am using the attached .bib file while working on improving publ-imp-apa.mkvi. The test .bib file contains a short and long version of each publication category, and while it is not an exhaustive test of publications list formatting it is a good start. Perhaps you can consider this to replace the existing publ-imp-test.bib in the core. Robin

Latest Ctx Beta - input file coding problem?

Publications output broken in latest beta

The following minimal example worked a few days ago, but appears broken now (2014.06.17 16:53 MKIV beta) — no publications list appears. PDF Forms - expanding multi-line text fields

I am composing a document that contains pdf forms. Example code in "Widgets Uncovered," shows how to specify the height and width of a multi-line text field. Here is a small example: \usemodule[fields] \setupinteraction[state=start] \setupfield [TextSetup] [width=\textwidth,height=5em,background=screen,backgroundscreen=.97,frame=off] \definefield [Block] [text] [TextSetup] \starttext \field [Block] \stoptext In this example the height is 5em. The field will scroll lines up when the height of the lines typed exceeds the height of the field. Click outside the field and the field displays the first n-lines that fit within its height. My question is, is it possible to tell the field to expand beyond its initial field height to display all its lines? A second less pressing question is, is it possible to tell lines to wrap when they exceed the field width? -- With kind regards, Michael Guravage

bugs in page breaks with items

Dear Hans, sorry for bothering you with this, but today I found an ugly pagebreak such as the following in a book I’m writting: \showframe\showgrid \setupbodyfont[pagella,15pt] \starttext \chapter{Chapter title} \section{Section title} \dorecurse{10}{\dorecurse{10}{Sentence. }\par} \startitemize \item \dorecurse{5}{This is an item. } \item \dorecurse{15}{This is an item. } \item \dorecurse{5}{This is an item. } \stopitemize \stoptext The second item from the list has the page break in the sample above. But if you comment the last item from the list, first two items fit in the first page. For some strange reason, ConTeXt is not able to leave the third item in that list alone in the second page. I have the strong impression that items themselves (not the paragraphs they contain) are handled by ConTeXt with rules for widow and orphan lines. The example above shows this. If you change recursion in the second item from 15 to 10 (so that the item has three lines), the whole list is moved to the second page. I think that the first item should remain on the first page. Another sample that shows the same behavior: \showframe\showgrid \setupbodyfont[pagella,15pt] \starttext \chapter{Chapter title} \section{Section title} \dorecurse{10}{\dorecurse{10}{Sentence. }\par} \startitemize \dorecurse{4}{\item This is an item.\par} \stopitemize \stoptext If there are four items, all text fits in one page. If there are five items, three items remain in the first page and two items move to the second page (not only the last one, as it should). But if there are six items in the list, the first four ones remain in the first page and the other two move to the second page. Could you fix these page breaks? hyperlinks within a PDF

Forgive me for what must seem a beginners’ question, but I really could not find the solution in the documentation or the Wiki: How do I create hyperlinks within a PDF to another spot in the text of that same PDF? I had expected I could do something like: Here is a \goto{link}[label:1]. … \label[label:1]{This is what the link points to.} -- but I cannot find anything that resembles this in the documentation. options for \setuppapersize

Dear list, I’m trying to explain the options of \setuppapersize in a book, but I’m not sure they work. With latest beta from 2014.06.15 15:54, this is the results I get with a minimal document such as: \setuppapersize[A5] \starttext \input zapf \stoptext I cannot make the options mirrored, rotated, 90, 180, 270 and negative work. understanding elements and \blank

Dear list, if I’m not wrong, elements are defined and configured in ConTeXt with \defineelement and \setupelement in the preamble of the document. Then they can be invoked using the identifier as a command. \definemargindata[MyMarginData][location=outer] \starttext \MyMarginData{Zapf}\input zapf \stoptext My question is; why are blank elements different? \defineblank[MyBlank][10*big] \starttext \input zapf \blank[MyBlank] \input zapf \stoptext Sorry for the basic question, but I’m trying to understand the reason why to explain it to others. reading modules broken?

My modules are not read anymore, allthough Context thinks it does. This must have been the case for some time. I ran a test with an older version which demonstrates that the change in behaviour must have occurred after january second. Minimal example follows. Hans van der Meer Module code in file module-test is: \writestatus{HVDM}{Module has been read} \endinput Test code in file moduletest.tex is: \usemodule[module-test] \starttext module testing look into the log. \stoptext In the log I find: This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.79.1 (TeX Live 2014/dev) (rev 4972) \write18 enabled. open source > 1 > 1 > /Users/hansm/tex/context-20/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/cont-yes.mkiv ConTeXt ver: 2014.06.05 23:04 MKIV beta fmt: 2014.6.6 int: english/english open source > 2 > 3 > /Users/hansm/tex/test-tex/modules/moduletest.tex resolvers > modules > 'module-test' is already loaded <-- wrongly thinks it is loaded It says the module is already loaded, but the telltale \writestatus is absent. Greetings all, it’s been quite a while since I tried to use lilypond snippets in a context file. Looks like we’re now using the filter module… can someone post a small working example file to get me started? —there are a number of different & some incomplete approaches to be found, none of which work :) Kind regards, David
