I had not noticed the comma and, yes, you are right, when I remove the comma I get an active url which opens a page on the desired site but without contents. When I add the comma in the address I get the desired page. I could add this instruction to the footnote but that seems to me to be a bit odd. Issue with margin notes with stack=yes (or =continue)

Dear all, Using ConTeXt ver: 2016.05.01 09:52 MKIV beta, I see that marginal notes (using \inouter for example) are put 1 or more lines below expected when using stack= option. RTL-related bug in \startcolumns

Hello, In RTL text, I use direction=left to mirror the columns. I just noticed that surprisingly section numbering will not be correct. See the MWE below, where I get "2 First" at the top of the right column and then "1 Second" in the middle of the left column. The correct numbering should be "1 First" and "2 Second." \starttext \startcolumns[n=2,direction=left] \section{First} \input knuth \section{Second} \input ward \stopcolumns \stoptext Produced using context version 2016.04.27 10:18. xml expression error

Why is there anexpression error here? I would expect that the expression number(-10000101) evaluates to a negative number taking part in the comparsion. It looks as if the minus sign is not seen as an unary minus, while -10000101 should have be evaluated by Lua's tonumber(-10000101). relevant code snippet is: \xmlfilter{#1}{lpath[number(@date) <= number(-10000101)]/command(...) xml > lpath > error in expression: number(@date) <= number(-10000101) => expr.number((ll.at and ll.at['date'])) <= expr.number(expr.child(ll,'-')10000101) Changing number(-10000101) to -10000101 does not make a difference. The @date attribute has no problem with a negative value. Hans van der Meer

starting a chapter on odd page

Dear all, in the book I’m finishing I’m using a structure like this \starttext \input c_preface.tex \input c_chapter1.tex [etc] \stoptext where each .tex file contains \startchapter[various options] \section{First section} etc \stopchapter The publisher is asking me to start each chapter on a odd page. Can I do it by setting some options? grid and heading distance

Hello context users: I would like to use grid layout in my document. It works well but the distance between headings (section, subsection etc) and the following normal text becomes too big. How can I decrease this distance to normal, similar to non-grid layout? If I compile the document without grid layout the distance between heading and text is correct, but with grid layout it is too much, it could be one or two "line-heights" less. [OT] Using ConTeXt to generate Minecraft maps (& asking for votes to get to NASA)

Hi, TL;DR: please vote for eXoCraft at https://2016.spaceappschallenge.org/vote (We only need a few hundred votes to get to the final five: one vote per person per day until the end of the week; the team with most votes gets an invitation to NASA.) ------------------------- Background: It all started with a wonderful BachoTeX conference and users frustrated by inaccurate maps and unable to find their huts after the bonfire was over at 3 am. http://www.gust.org.pl/bachotex/ So some people took the GPS, mapped the area and entered the data into OpenStreetMaps. Some years back I challenged Hans to let ConTeXt draw a nice map using lua & xml & metapost combined. Here's the result: http://meeting.contextgarden.net/2014/programme.shtml http://meeting.contextgarden.net/2014/talks/2014-09-12-mojca-maps/OpenStree… Meanwhile we also came up with http://www.gust.org.pl/bachotex/bachotex-promo/bachotex-site-color.png This year we took the existing map-generating sources to the next level. Since Hans' nephew is a great lover of MineCraft, we helped him build the foundations for creating a geographically accurate BachoTeX map in Minecraft while enjoying the wonderful conference. Using ConTeXt of course! (Preview is available here: https://github.com/mojca/bachotex-maps/tree/master/minecraft/google-maps/ba…, but you need to clone the project first to view in offline and please note that the map project is not finished yet.) Now, this last step has only been possible due to some wonderful team-mates and an event that happened one week before BachoTeX. alternate to font feature file for glyph substitution ?

Hi, how should I go at the Plain TeX level about implementing the following glyph substitution which I formerly expressed in a font feature file: languagesystem DFLT dflt; languagesystem latn dflt; feature oneb { sub one by one.ss01; } oneb; The font is Vollkorn, a Plain LuaTeX file which worked in TL2015 would be \input luaotfload.sty \font\x="Vollkorn:script=latn;language=DFLT;+tlig;featurefile=vollkornlua.fff;+oneb;" \x 123 \bye % Local Variables: % TeX-engine: luatex % End: The glyph for digit 1 is modified and picked in stylistic set 1. I don't want to globally switch to that stylistic set, I am only interested into digit 1. My use case is more with LuaLaTeX+fontspec, but if I am explained a Plain LuaTeX approach I can at least forward to Will Robertson who maintains fontspec and cross my fingers that it trickles down back to me at some point via update of fontspec, or luatex, or luaotfload, ... Please CC to me as although I asked for (temporary) list inscription I might not yet be registered.
