Dear list, sorry for bothering again with this issue, but I need to have indices in my documents. I have the following sample: \mainlanguage[es] \setupregister[method=default] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=1em] \index{ámame}\index{arisco}\index{ándrago} \index{antonia}\index{antón} \placeindex \stopTEXpage \stoptext Word sorting is the following: antonia antón arisco ámame ándrago Right word order is: ámame ándrago antón antonia arisco In Spanish, as in other languages, an accented letter has no different sorting that its unaccented counterpart. I got the right word order adding these replacements in sort-lan.lua: replacements = { { "á", "a" }, { "é", "i"}, { "í", "i" }, { "ó", "o"}, { "ú", "u" }, { "ü", "u" }, }, Could anyone explain me whether this is the right way of doing it? I mean, if this is the way, I have other two patches for other two languages in which I have indices. And if I’m wrong, I would like to know how to get right word sorting in registers. getting the glyph of a character

Dear all. At page 50-52 of the manual of metapost, “Mpman”, it is explained to get a glyph of font using the command ‘glyph'. glyph ⟨numeric expression⟩ of ⟨string expression⟩ glyph ⟨string expression⟩ of ⟨string expression⟩ . Is it possible to do the similar thing in metafun? Dear list, Inspired by this question on TeX.SX https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/367433 How can I get the translated names for chapter and section depending on the currently active language. I know they are there in lang-txt.lua, but cannot be accessed via \labeltext. How to go through a vbox line by line in Lua?

Dear list, Recently I answered a question on TeX.SX where it was necessary to go through an already typeset vbox and examine it line by line. Therefore I used the macro \eatlines from Viktor Eijkhout's "TeX by Topic", here a version tailored to my needs: \def\eatlines{% \setbox\scratchbox=\lastbox \ifvoid\scratchbox\else \unskip\unpenalty {\eatlines}% \setbox\scratchbox=\hbox{\unhbox\scratchbox}% % Do something with scratchbox, e.g. examine width \fi } It is then used like \vbox{ ... some content ... \par\eatlines} The macro goes through all hboxes (lines) in the vertical list until there is none left (\ifvoid) and unpacks each hbox into a new one. I was wondering, can the same thing be done in Lua (with probably less and more readable code)? Kind regards, Henri

Linking local resource

I'd like to have links in my PDF to external resources (videos, movies, or non-embeddable file types) stored locally. Ideally, I'd like to use relative links, so that I can move the folder containing the PDF and the resources, and a cross-platform method (I'm on macOS). Is that possible? Nicola

MP & text transparency
