Custom sorting of "pseudo-language" in a register

Hello all, I’m just getting acquainted with ConTeXt, and I am finding it so much more suitable for my work and needs. Thanks for the great software. Here’s my situation. I write in Slovene and in English, and I need to make numerous references to biblical passages. I want to create an index of these citations, but I want them in the order they appear in the Bible rather than alphabetical order. Henri Menke provided a perfectly workable solution on TeX StackExchange[^1], but because this is a multi-year project, I wanted to find a bit more permanent solution. I discovered I can use Lua LPEG to parse and normalize my citations so they are referenced in a uniform style. My problem comes in the register sorting. Hans, I saw where in the paste you have recommended a “pseudo-language” to implement a custom sort in such a situation. I have almost figured out how to accomplish this. (See the MWE below.) I have no problem with single word sections (Genesis, Exodus, etc.). I can turn off indicators, do the custom sort (see below), and I get the intended result. If I have a multiple word title (Evangelij po Janezu), that technique doesn’t work. The replacement for more than one word (or if a number is involved, like 1John) doesn’t seem to work. I have no doubt there is a good reason; I’m just a newbie! It seems my options are to: 1. Figure out how to do a replacement for a phrase or a book with a number in its name. Then this technique seems to work ok. 2. Or to add an entries and figure out some way to not print the first level in the index. So the indicator will be the book name, and underneath the chapter and verses will be listed with out the book name being repeated. Are there any ideas to point me in the right direction? disabling italic correction

Kerning/italic correction problem with TeX Gyre Bonum font

Hi Hans and others! I don't know if this is a problem with the font itself or if it is ConTeXt. In any case, the test file below gives strange output (attached). In particular the space/kerning after $f$ seems to be off. Ulrike Fischer reminded me in the StackExchange chat that not so long time ago there was some similar issue with \mathcal P discussed on this list. Is it the same problem? (The input $f \tracinglostchars=0 \Uchar"EEEFF$) indeed makes it look better between the $f$ and the parenthesis.) /Mikael %%% \setupbodyfont[bonum] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=3bp] (Look at this $f$) and this $f$? (see also $k$?, $x$? and $z$?) There might be more problems (like between $t$ and the parenthesis in $e^t$) is too small. Compare with $f_0$ and $f_1$, $g_0$ and $g_1$. Fourier and utopia

Dear Hans and dear list, I try to use the fourier/utopia combination in mkiv (I used that combination for my PhD thesis in mkii 10 years ago). First of all, I have downloaded the fourier fonts from ctan at https://ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/fourier-GUT . The fonts are found by mtxrun. I have one folder containing type-fourier.mkiv, fourier-math.lfg and testfile.tex. Everything seems to be found by the system, so the problem is probably in my files somewhere. The resulting pdf after compiling testfile.text is attached. Any ideas of what I am missing? Additionally, the fourier fonts come with fourier-bb.tfm (probably with blackboard bold), fourier-mcl (probably so that one can use mathcal). Any ideas on how to use them in the fourier-math.lfg file? option for printing range

Hans, would it be possible to add an key to \setupinteractionscreen that implements the /PrintPageRange key in the /ViewerPreferences dictionary (https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/PDF32000_2008… For example, "\setupinteractionscreen[range={2, 4-7, 10}]" should add the "/PrintPageRange [1 1 3 6 9 9]" in /ViewerPreferences. (BTW, the key name is the first one that came to my mind.) This is extremely useful to help the user to print only the required pages and not the whole document (which may be required only for viewing purposes). Broken Index Behavior?

I put ConTeXt on a new server. It works fine except that it is not aggregating index results. I have isolated it to a single line, but i do not understand why it breaks indexing. Feedback from anybody would be immensely helpful. I have already spent way too much time figuring this out. %Minimal example: % ConTeXt ver: 2017.05.15 21:48 MKII fmt: 2017.8.17 int: english/english \enableregime[utf] \starttext \index{Aardvark}Aardvark \index{Baboon}Baboon \index{Camel}Camel \pagebreak \index{Baboon}Baboon \placeindex[compress=yes] \stoptext Outputs Index like this: A Aardvark 1 B Baboon 1 C Camel 1 B Baboon 2 and issues warning when compiling: references : duplicate reference [][Index:b] on page 2 However, if i remove this line, it works fine: \enableregime[utf] I need that line to be able to handle diacritics in the text however. I cannot upgrade to mkIV yet as there is a complex toolchain involved. Running this example with the same installation files and same input returns different results when run on my local workstation versus this new machine i am working on. It also works fine on the live.contextgarden.net tool. Can anyone think of a reason why adding "\enableregime[utf]" would break the index aggregator? File permissions? Missing tool? Something wrong with fonts? Some other context-sensitive misconfiguration? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
