Position of prime for derivatives

Hi Hans, Thanks for having fixed the behavior of the prime in the latest beta release (ConTeXt version 2017.05.15 21:48). However, as you may see in the two attached PDF files, the result is still incorrect when one types for example $f_2’’(x)$, which should give the same result as $f’’_2(x)$. The correct behaviour is that obtained with mkii. Indeed one can circumvent the behaviour of the latest beta release of mkiv by using tricks such as the ones in the example code below, but this should be avoided in my opinion. The following PDF have been obtained with mkii and mkiv with the following example code. Misnamed parameter in \setuppagenumbering?

Dear list, On TeX.SX there was a question about why ConTeXt starts the document with a left instead of a right page. Turns out the OP merely confused "marginedge" with "inmargin". However, that made me wonder, is "marginedge" perhaps misnamed when it does not place the pagenumber in the margin close to the edge of the page? I think it should be named "marginspine" instead. Ahoi, the old unofficial lua module grph-downsample doesn’t seem to work anymore (with latest MkIV), don’t know when it stopped working and what the problem is – at least my pictures aren’t found any more if I load that file (\loadluafile[grph-downsample]). Is there a different/better/newer way of downsampling pictures? how to prevent stupid typos?

Dear list, I have the following sample: \starttext This is \linenote{abed intended. \stoptext >From which I get the error: close source > level 2, order 3, name '/home/ousia/untitled.tex' close source > level 1, order 3, name '/home/ousia/ctxbeta/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/mkiv/cont-yes.mkiv' * tex error > tex error on line 0 in file : ! Emergency stop <*> cont-yes.mkiv <empty file> End of file on the terminal! Would it be any way to make ConTeXt report that \linenote{ hasn’t been closed? I mean, with a three line source, it is stupid to get this. But in a longer file, it can be an exhausting task. The scenario may be worse. At work I have a system to generate some documents (mainly letters) automatically. I have to add an option (which I didn’t find the time to fully implement it). The system uses ConTeXt and there are about 30 source files. Depending on the options you need, the main file requires the other files (via modes and \input commands). Well, in this context (no pun intended), I get an error such as this: open source > level 3, order 4, name 'untitled.tex' But the source isn’t closed. I don’t have the files here, but I don’t know even how to start searching. In this second case, how could I get a hint of what is ConTeXt expecting? mathradical defaults to "normal", should it perhaps be "default"?

Hi, this might be a matter of taste. look at the output of (attached). In my opinion the first square root is to "high", while it looks better on the second line. From setup-en.pdf it looks like the default of \setupmathradical is set to normal (and not default). I don't understand what normal should mean, but I think the alternative=default looks better. (The lucida fonts are loaded in this example, since the effect is more clear for them). /Mikael \setupbodyfont[lucidaot] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=2pt] \startformula \sqrt{1+x^2}\neq \frac{1}{\sqrt{1+x^2}} \stopformula %the default setting for mathradical seems to be "normal". aligning external figures

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setupexternalfigure[location=default, align=middle] \starttext \dontleavehmode\externalfigure[cow.pdf] \externalfigure[cow.pdf] \stoptext As you can see, \dontleavehmode makes no difference. bug with hidden attachments?

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setupinteraction[state=start] \setupinteractionscreen[option=attachment] \setuppapersize[A5, landscape] \setuppagenumbering[location=] \starttext \startbuffer[abc] hola μαριόλα \stopbuffer This PDF document contains a visible attachment.\attachment[name=hidden.txt, title={χαλεπὰ τὰ καλά}, author=ConTeXt, subtitle=χαλεπὰ τὰ καλά, method=hidden, buffer=abc] This PDF document should contain the same hidden attachment (under a different name\attachment[name=visible.txt, title={χαλεπὰ τὰ καλά}, author=ConTeXt, subtitle=χαλεπὰ τὰ καλά, method=visible, buffer=abc]. \stoptext In short, the visible attachment is actually attached, but the hidden isn’t attached at all. Strange interaction between mathalignment and mathmatrix

Dear list, When I have a mathmatrix inside a mathalignment the numbering using \NR[+] does not work anymore. Instead it prints "[+]" on the next line. I guess the definition of \NR from mathmatrix leaks outside. Affects both TL2017 and latest beta. MWE is below. align inner items vertically

Hi, is it possible to align the inner itemgroup vertically with the outer enumeration, even if there is a "big" math expression? See the example below (where I have made the enumeration serried, just to see the _vertical_ misalignment better)? overrule italics

I have a long text with section headers partly in italics and/or emphasis. I'd like to setup the formatting in a way that overrules these. \setuphead[section][style=\tfb\up] In LaTeX there would be \upshape/\textup -- is there an equivalent in ConTeXt? Thanks in advance!
