What is the status of the bibliography module?

Hi, I've searched the mailing list archives on the bib module. There are no really recent entries, so I'm wondering what the current status is. More specifically: I am trying to get the bibliography module to work like I want it to work. Does anyone have a bibl-???.tex lying around that formats for a common physics journal (say Physical Review or similar? I'll give an example of what I want below.) I need mostly articles and some books, not much else (incomplete support is not a problem), I'm not picky, if you have something that uses numerical references and cite order in the final list, I'm a happy camper... Sorted by citation order, a journal entry should look like this: Initials Name, Initials Name and Initials Name, \quote{Title}, Journal {\bf Volume}, pagestart (year). If there are more than 3 authors, use {\em et al.}. For a book: Author(s), \crlf {\em Title,} (editors) \crlf edition, Publisher, City, year Thanks for the help, Maarten > fortune bash: fortune: command not found

Widows and Orphans in columns

Do the normal controls \widowpenalty and \clubpenalty work with Context? Do they work with ordinary columns? Do they work with columnsets? Are there higher level Context constructs I should be using for this purpose in columns? latest beta

Hi all, after installing the latest beta (the one with colmunsets) I have found problems with heads -- heads on all levels and sublevels use style of the top level (chapter or title). Another settings like spacing etc. works fine. I tried compile the beta three times (:-), twice at home, once at office). Maybe I do any systematic error, but now I do not know which... Actually as a book reviewer I fold the blurb in two, stick it between the covers, and refer to it for any specifics not covered in the book itself (like where to order it etc.) Often those sheets get lost and I only have the book to work from. But the book is what I am reviewing, not e.g., Shel's deathless prose which in fact may be better written than the book :-=) OTOH there is one publicist out there whose cover sheet is so bad it turns me off on the book. He takes a standard form letter and sticks in one paragraph relating to the actual book. Often that paragraph is a long, run-on sentence fragment. So while a good blurb may not turn me on an ungrammatical one will turn me off. Spacing problems with units

Hi, I have a spacing problem with the units module. the sample code below shows the problem: an extra space is inserted before the unit when used in mathmode. Any suggestions? Hello, I'm new user of ConTeXt (for one week) and I would like to connect ConTeXt with a database(Oracle, PostegreSQL, MySQL...). Is it possible or must I write a PERL script to export datas in XML files ? I found this in mail archive : \startSQL my_query \stopSQL but I don't know how to use this (how to use the result of the query, where I write database connection's parameters...). incrementnumber of part vs. not showing up in table of contents

Hi, When i \setuphead[part][incrementnumber=no] so that all the chapter numbering will be continuous, the part doesn't show up in my Table of Contents. when i change it to 'yes' or remove incrementnumber, the part shows up in the ToC, but the chapters are now reset to 1 at each part break. hyphenation

I'm typesetting something in Croatian language. In cont-en.tex I put an \installlanguage, and properly configured the hyphenation tables (which languages to include/exclude). In my main project file, I put \mainlanguage[hr]. Is this enough for Context to use Croatian hyphenation rules? Is there a way to check by which rules does it hyphenate? (I myself am not too familiar with my own language's hyphenation :), but some words do appear hyphenated strangely nevertheless.. so I'd just want to check it)

subpagenumber

Hi, I want to use sub page numbering in a document but I cannot get it to work. I put these commands in my tex file: \setupsubpagenumber[state=start] \setupfootertexts[][Page \subpagenumber de \numberofsubpages] \starttext \part {Part 1} ..... \part {Part 2} I got this message on my console: ! Undefined control sequence. <argument> Page {\subpagenumber } de \numberofsubpages {}{}{} I'm using ConTeXt ver: 2003.1.31 fmt: 2003.4.23 int: english mes: english Any clues will be appreciated!
