Bib module produces no output

Hello, bib module of 30-8-2004 produces no bibliography list on \placepublications with ConTeXt 2004.12.17 (last stable) and/or latest beta. The workaround is to use \setuplist[pubs][criterium=all] somewhere in the setup. Can you please make including the whole bibliography make the default? framed starts a paragraph...

hi all. What's happening here? \starttext hello world.\par \framed{hello} world.\par hello \framed{world}.\par \stoptext It looks like an extra \par is inserted after the first \framed. Is this new? algorithms style : need \starttyping with TeX and math feature

Bonjour à tous, I'm trying to white some algorithms in natural language (versus pseudo-computing langage) I need to keep some "typing" for write space (i.e. indentation of text) while being able to white TeX commands (with \xxx{yyy}) and math (like $y_u(t)$) In fact I'd like some LaTeX algorithms style like feature. I could do some recursive \startitemize...\stopitemize... but it is two much verbose, so I thought looking at the ConTeXt "typing" system Also, perhaps my request is simply an option of \startlines which keep not only the lines break, but also the first spaces of each line (in a verbatim font fors these space) Thank you for any help! -- Maurice Diamantini

Sidebars and versals Oh my!

Been working my way through the examples in the Columns Manual, the Details Manual etc. and had some thoughts on additional features. Versals come in many different flavors, of which the conventional dropped cap is just one. Even that facility could use a tweak. Conventionally, to provide a transition from the dropped cap to the normal text, the rest of the first word, or the next two or three words, or sometimes the entire first line is put in a small caps typeface. I cobbled up my own macro for this for a particular book I typeset: \def\drop#1#2{% \noindent {\head #1} \vskip -20pt \noindent \hangindent=1.7em \hangafter=-2 {\sc #2} } But this is not the only type of versal. Sometimes a large capital letter (perhaps in italics) is centered on the top of the textblock thus: \def\drop#1#2{\noindent\hglue .4\hsize{\tfd#1}{\sc#2}} Now there are other variations seen in fine books, such as a dropped initial cap partly or completely protruding into the left margin, often colored gray. The first macro above could be modified for a specific case. A general macro is more challenging. A matter of continuing interest is the sidebar, which can be placed in the outer margin, or flush left or right in a paragraph, or partly protruding into the outer margin. Usually these sidebars will have a gray background and often have a border. It appears that creating the sidebar separately as a pdf graphic and then importing and placing it would be the easiest way home. Context already has mechanisms for flowing or wrapping text around a graphic. How well the wraparound feature works when more than one short paragraph is involved I have not tested yet. Hi, I am thinking about downloading the big complete mswincontext.zip (context/install/mswincontext.zip). Does it also include pdfTeX 1.20b ? I just want to be sure before starting a day long 56k-modem-download. Thank you, Steffen P.S. Happy new year!

Hi, At the moment I am trying to achieve an interactive document, where the sectionheading of the paper-version are linked to corresponding sectionheading in the screen document. The code is based on an example as provided by David Arnold. In the attached example I do not get interactivity with coloured sectionheadings. When compiling the original example from David then I get only interactive jumps from the sectionheadings in the paper-version to the screen document. But there is no way to jump back to the paper-version i.e. the interactivity is not active in the screen document. It seems, that there is something broken in the \coupledocument command? Mac testers wanted

Hi all, Sorry, but I'm announcing another Mac-only thing to the ConTeXt list. I'd like a few testers on an export script. OmniOutliner Pro makes for an interesting structured editor, and I've written an export plug-in that outputs ContML code that can easily be run through ConTeXt. I could use a couple savvy MacOSX ConTeXters to help verify it's behaving as expected and that it's usable. It means running a (99% stable) beta application (OOPro) that won't be free in the long term, so if that offends your sensibilities, turn away now... (My plug-in and ConTeXt module will be free, of course.)
