In any case, the value for the /EF entry has to be a dictionary that points to the /EmbeddedFile (such as in object 8). I’m afraid that the code that generates the second /Filespec object (object 10 in the code above) is wrong. I attach a modified file fixing the issue from the PDF document generated by ConTeXt. Addressing glyphs in Lua

\noheaderandfooterlines to suppress header frame, too

Hello, this may have been posted here some time before, but - would it be possible to extend \noheaderandfooterlines command to temporarily suppress bottom frame, too? Suppose having the following code: ---- \setupheadertexts[left][right] \setupbackgrounds[header][bottomframe=on] \starttext \input knuth \page \noheaderandfooterlines \input knuth \stoptext ---- - On the page #2, header is not shown, which is OK, but header (bottom-)frame is still drawn, which is unwanted... line break after \item, but not \stopitem

Hi list, I am designing a presentation for my pupils (some loooong exercices to learn LibreOfficeDraw by doing). To be sure that they don't misview any question, I decided to force a pagebreak after each first level item. A question on TSE gave me the proper key to \setupitemize, but I am facing an issue I didn't expect. Given this MWE \setuppapersize[S6] \setupitemize[1][inbetween={\page}] \starttext \startitemize[n] \startitem \input knuth \stopitem \startitem \input ward \startitemize[a] \startitem first point \stopitem \startitem second point \stopitem \stopitem \stopitemize \stoptext I expected a page break after each 1 level \stopitem, that is after knuth's text and "second point". However the text is breaking before first point, that is at the beginning of level 2 startitemize, which is AFAIK semantically part of a level 1 item. Do you have any idea to force page break *after* "second point" and not *before* "first point" ? Thanks, Damien Thiriet

Homebrew packaging for macOS

Dear list, Has anyone ever looked into packaging ConTeXt for Homebrew on macOS (see <https://brew.sh>)? Providing it as an installation option would make it far easier to obtain the latest version. In looking into it myself, I immediately came across the problem of not being exactly sure where to find a versioned download link. See their guidelines at <https://docs.brew.sh/Acceptable-Formulae>. moving the first line of a page to the previous page

Hello list, sometimes ConTeXt moves the (would-be) last line of a page to the next page, even when there's room for it at the bottom of a page, before the footnotes. Sometimes i understand why it does so: when the line contains a footnote that would increase the footnotes' height, for example; or when you have widows or orphans. But sometimes it happens in an inexplicable way: in some pages there's room at the bottom and it keeps the last line, in some other pages there's more room (than in the previous case), but it moves the last line to the next page anyway. Even looking at hyphenations, i can't find an explanation fot that behaviour. So i'm looking for a way to prevent ConTeXt from moving the last line to the next page. A solution i found is to insert a \vadjust{\kern -0.5pt} in the second-last line of the page. It works -- see the attachments -- but it modifies the interline, so it's feasible only for corrections under 1pt. Another way would be locally shrinking the space before footnotes, but i don't know how and when to do it. Some words about the attachments: - there are some footnotes and line height setups to resemble the real configuration i'm working with - keep-line-in-page-0.tex is the reference case - keep-line-in-page-1.tex is the solution with \vadjust{\kern -0.5pt} Best wishes, Massimiliano

Formulas in TABLE with character alignment

Hello, I decided to use TABLE because I may need some more complex layouts later and want to use just one way to define a table. One of the great things about TABLE is the possibility to align columns. The table below works fine when I comment the first \bTR line. With the first line the result is strange. Using context.setupexternalfigures

Hi, I'm trying to setup the path for images using environment variables but calling context.setupexternalfigures does not work for me.
