I can't find the format file `cont-nl.fmt'!

Natural table header mystery.

The table runs ok with the headers omitted. There are 8 columns. But when I add these headers it gives me an error. Problems with "mathalign"

Hello, I wanted to keep Aditya busy now that he finished his wonderful new module ;), so ... I first wanted to ask how to number subformulas in a certain way, but that I figured out that numbering is already causing some problems on its own. Consider the following examples: \starttext This is almost OK, but has one formula number too much here: \startbuffer \placeformula \startformula \startalign[m=2,distance=3cm] a & =b & A & =B \\ c & =d & C & =D \\ \stopalign \stopformula \stopbuffer \typebuffer \getbuffer This results in a very weird formula numbering \startbuffer \placeformula \startformula \startalign[m=2,distance=3cm] \NC a \NC =b \NC A \NC =B \NR \NC c \NC =d \NC C \NC =D \NR \stopalign \stopformula \stopbuffer \typebuffer \getbuffer Adding [+] helps, but than we have the same problem as at the beginning: \startbuffer \placeformula \startformula \startalign[m=2,distance=3cm] \NC a \NC =b \NC A \NC =B \NR[+] \NC c \NC =d \NC C \NC =D \NR[+] \stopalign \stopformula \stopbuffer \typebuffer \getbuffer Without placeforumla, but with [+] we don't get any numbering at all: \startbuffer \startformula \startalign[m=2,distance=3cm] \NC a \NC =b \NC A \NC =B \NR[+] \NC c \NC =d \NC C \NC =D \NR[+] \stopalign \stopformula \stopbuffer \typebuffer \getbuffer \stoptext CtxTools | context version: 2006.12.27 11:34 (After running "ctxtools --update" I just managed to break everything.) Hi, I'm ConTeXting a text that follows: %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% \setupwhitespace[big] \setupinterlinespace[line=2.5ex] \starttext The Leslie Matrix is a matrix $L[1:X, 1:X]$ of the form $$\left( {\matrix{ {a_1 } & {a_2 } & {a_3 } & \ldots & {a_X } \cr {b_1 } & 0 & 0 & 0 & 0 \cr 0 & {b_2 } & 0 & 0 & 0 \cr 0 & 0 & \ddots & 0 & 0 \cr 0 & 0 & 0 & {b_{X - 1} } & 0 \cr } } \right), $$ to build which we need to know $a_x$, {\em ability to reproduce}, an average number of offsprings within a time step from an individual of age class $x$, and $b_x$, {\em probability of surviving}, a fraction of individuals that survives from age class $x$ to age class $x+1$. \stoptext %%%%%%%%%%%% and a matrix has big spacing BEFORE and normal spacing AFTER. overlapping colors

grid vs. frame

Hi, please have a look at this really minimal example: \newdimen\XVertikal \XVertikal=12pt \setupbodyfont[postscript,10pt] \setupinterlinespace[line=\XVertikal] \setuplayout [width=113mm,height=48\XVertikal, backspace=20mm,topspace=15mm, header=\XVertikal,headerdistance=0.5\XVertikal, footer=3.5\XVertikal,footerdistance=0pt, location=middle,marking=on,grid=yes] \showframe \showgrid \starttext bla \stoptext Why is line 43 not exactly at the bottom-line of the frame? Where does this little gap come from? This little cap is really killing when fine-tuning the page breaks: where footnotes end -> they sit on line 43, where they have to break across pages -> they sit on the frame … Jumping up and down, all through the book! Isn't my setuplayout clear enough to avoid this? Steffen

CSS-like coding style

Hello, I'm puzzled with an odd thing. If I try to adopt CSS-like coding style, \setuptyping[ before={ \blank[2*big] \setupinterlinespace[line=1ex] }, after={} ] \setuppagenumbering[ location=bottom ] works perfectly. But \setuplayout[ topspace=0cm, bottomspace=2cm, rightmargin=2cm, width=fit, height=fit ] fails and accepts only \setuplayout[ topspace=0cm, bottomspace=2cm, rightmargin=2cm, width=fit, height=fit] What is the rule behind this? :( Best, Vyatcheslav
