overset in ConTeXt

Hi all, I cannot find how to type a bar over a letter in math mode; in LaTeX the command is something like \overset{-}{q}; but ConTeXt doesn't like it: ! Undefined control sequence. l.1869 p(q_1 + \overset {-}{q_2})+q_1 \frac{dp}{dQ} - Cm_1(q_1) = 0 ? header on last missing when processing xml

Hi Mighty ConTeXters! I have a problem: when I process the XML file 'headertest.xml' below, using 'headertest.tex' (below) with: texmfstart texexec --xtx headertest.tex I get four pages of output (as expected) but on the last page (page 4 in this case) the headline is missing (not expected). Why? And how can this be fixed (i.e. header on all pages)? I experienced this problem with other XML processing tasks, it is always the header on the last page that is missing (one can test this by changing the times parameter of the repeat tag in the XML file). replacing symbols

Hi, Let me restate my question. If I get some text from an XML file using \XMLflush, is there a command in PLAIN TeX to replace some symbols (say, “&“ -> \letterampersand), on-a-fly without invoking perl, ruby, or lisp or ...? Why is there need in external script to do such an easy thing? And what I have to do to use Lua scripts, if possible? Cheers, Vyatcheslav

Hello, I want to ask a few questions that I cannot resolve by myself so far. 1) How can I integrate ruby/perl scripts into a .tex document? (I want to create a CD cataloguing tool and gonna use script for reading CD file list). 2) How to change line spacing for typed text only? Sorry, no news (but I re-discover \traceTABLEtrue...) Hint: look into cont-ntb.tex . There are some examples that aren't show even if you create the documentation with --modules switch.

Enabling PDF comments with ConTeXt

Hi, In early 2005 there was a thread "ConTeXt tool for enabling comments in PDF ?" which discussed the ways in which the output from ConTeXt/pdftex could be commented on by an Acrobat user using the PDF commenting feature. Has anyone done anything more on this? Is there some magic "--enable-commenting" switch that I can't see? Thanks, Jan Mikkelsen

CD cover tool -- handling unusual symbols in folder names

Hello, I try to implement a script that will typeset covers for CD/DVD's that contain music compilations. Now I have script that follows. It scans the root directory of a CD for folders and outputs them a list. The major problem is that I have " & " and " ' " symbols in folder names on which script fails complaining (D:\context\xmldir-1.xml subject : - Music ! \start-\stop footnotes

Dear syndicate, For looong footnotes it would be nice to have \start-\stop footnotes for easier editing, but these are not defined in ConTeXt.
