How does one get ConTeXt to indent and space paragraphs in footnotes according to the same rules as the body text? I have checked the manual but do not see how to adapt \setupfootnotes to do this, and my attempts thus far with \setupfootnotedefinition have not been unsuccessful either. Proper kerning of quotations in German

Hello, I already noticed that English quotations are much better kerned than the German (also Slovenian) ones, today I also came across two articles about this. http://www.harald-harders.de/latex/lm-kerning-092.pdf http://www.dante.de/dante/events/eurotex/papers/TUT09.pdf If I understood it properly, the problem should have been addressed and solved already. Is there already any ConTeXt support for it? German/Slovenian/... can use either guillemots or normal quotation marks, so if the user wants to use guillemots (which are not the default), a simple mechanism has to exist, where the kerning is updated automatically when switching. new beta

Hi, I'm currently uploading a beta with the most recent discussed fixes / extensions. The questiosn with regards to verse/poems triggered me into looking into the lines mechanism and i found out that the odd/even indentation was broken. As a result i rewrote part if the indenter. Hello, I have done symbol definition file for AquaMints font. When I want to prepare overall symbol table I noticed problem in \showsymbolset definition (no table, no symbol is shown). It tests \doifsymbolsetelse{#1}. It is defined \def\doifsymbolsetelse #1{\doifdefinedelse{\??ss*#1}} but greping ss* gives me no place where \??ss*#1 is defined (perhaps should be in \startsymbolset?). Hullo all, Maybe somebody can help me with this: I have a paragraph and an image in the outer margin, sticking slightly into the text area. On the opposite side, in the inner margin, I have two letters. What happens is that after the \inothermargin command I get a line break (not a new paragraph, but a line break). When I remove the image, the line break disappears. bug / feature portal

Hi, in addition to the wiki there is now a portal for tracking bugs and feature requests http://context.literatesolutions.com/ this is *not* a replacement for the wiki, which is and will be the primary place for on-line user support etc etc. Although the portal is mainly meant for those involved in the development and therefore is moderated, it is open for anyone who wants to contribute in bug reports and feature requests. It's still somewhat experimental and we're trying to figure out the best way to deal with things like bugs (without too much overhead for the developers). In due time there will also be some additional resources for the purpose of history. Making texshow easier to edit

The following things would make editing the texshow wiki a lot easier to edit: * Preview displays of changes * Easy cross-referencing between commands * Not putting everything inside <pre>...</pre> tags When making changes, having a preview display makes it easier to decide on what works and what doesn't before "commiting". I added documentation to the \quote command and thought that having links to \setupquote and \setuplanguage would be helpful. I had to create <a href>-type tags for this with long-winded query-strings. It would be much easier to have some automatic cross-referencing going on (a la WikiWords perhaps, but using \ as a signal?). When everything is put inside <pre>...</pre> tags, line-breaks become significant, which makes it very hard to tell where to break a line. It would be much better if the browser could decide this for itself. Anyway, I think that texshow is a great utility and hopefully more commands will be described and commented upon. [BUG] unic-032.tex 0x2026 HORIZONTAL ELLIPSIS definition wrong

\textellipsis usually expands to \cdots and that's fine, but \textellipsis shouldn't be used in unic-032.tex for 0x2026 HORIZONTAL ELLIPSIS, as this codepoint is for a symbol of dots on the base-line, not in the center. I've posted about this previously, but got no response. Anyway, I've attached a patch that fixes the problem.
