TIPA in Context

I am currently converting my Old Frisian Etymological dictionary from LaTeX to Context and I have run into two problems. The first problem is that I am using the TIPA package to typeset phonological fonts and diactitica. Is there a way to use the TIPA font in Context? The second problem is that the dictionary has 142 seperate language indexes with over 32000 index markers in the standard latex index format \index[language_abbreviation]{...}. Is there an easy way to write one new (TeX) definition which interprets these markers in such a way that Context accepts. All, I thought the following long table would split but it doesn't seem to using the current beta. Hello, ConTeXt does not find the EPS-BoundingBox in EPS files generated by xmgrace. Such a file begins like this: %!PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0 %%BoundingBox: (atend) and it ends like this: %%Trailer %%BoundingBox: 64 72 709 527 %%DocumentNeededResources: font Times-Roman %%EOF When using \externalfigure, one gets the following error: ERROR: Missing number, treated as zero. --- TeX said --- <to be read again> ( \EPSllx ->( atend) \dogetEPSboundingbox ...m \EPSfound >0 #2=\EPSllx bp#4=\EPSurx bp#3=\EPSlly ... Would it be possible, to enable ConTeXt to read such a file? If not, I'm going to write a script, that converts the file. \=i

Dear partners in crime, I mentioned this some time ago, can't find the answer right now... I need a \=i where the bar over the <i> is the width of the box. In computer modern the bar over the <i> is much too large and looks ugly and buts into other letters when used frequently. In good quality typesetting the bar in the \=i is always smaller than for, say, \=a and \=u. (Of course, ConTeXt already incorporates the \i in its def. of \=i and I don't want to lose that feature;->) Also, Hoenig helped me make a complete old style computer modern virtual font. Where can I upload this package (with all Context-related typescripts) for people to look at and maybe improve? Hi, I uploaded new bzips, these are my minimal context trees: http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/linuxtex.zip.bz2 http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/macosxtex.zip.bz2 http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/mswintex.zip.bz2 and this is for windows users, i.e. a subset of fptex: http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/tex.iso.bz2 http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/tex.tar.bz2 These two are some 144 Meg. There is also the texsyncable tree. A few remarks: (1) the cd has an autorun file (2) and also start.bat and demo.bat files (3) whatever you choose, it will also start the example framework (4) which means that you have some goodies (recently added: font tester; interface is accessible from tools menu) (5) the demo files at least can prove that tex/metapost/xml work (6) afaik it works all right on spacy install paths (7) as well as (when running from cdrom) on the local (often spacy) user temp path (8) more example interfaced stuff will follow and the interface macros itself will be documented later i'll try to get this working for linux as well (alas, ruby is not yet standard on unix and i need to get rid of hard coded scite paths) as well as macosx (dunno how to make a texshop-using-small-context-tree-run-from-cd version yet; no scite on mac yet) I can add support for more editors later; the idea is that this provides a kind of standard. The example framework is now multi-threaded. The more extended client-server alternative will follow later. Getting { in the input.

Again I'm having some problems generating my ASCII table, this time it's { and } that are the culprits. I'm currently using $\{$ and $\}$ for them, but it would be great if there was a way to get them rendered like the other characters that have \type{...} surrounding them. Overwritten metapost files

How was it one avoided getting metapost overwritten?
