Define new flow chart cell shape

Hi Hans! I'm using the flow chart module and I want to know how to create a new cell shape using MetaPost and assign that new shape to a shape number. Could you give me an example? Thanks. itemize, adobekb

These are two very basic questions, but I couldn't find basic answers. Am quite willing to RTFM, but would be grateful for pointing to specific sections. So here comes: 1) Is it possible to have something in front of the number in numbered itemize-groups? Like LatTeX-style [1] etc. All I could find was the "stopper= " setup, but nothing for "starters." 2) The adobekb typescript is now part of the context macro package, right? (tex/context/base/type-akb.tex). But whenever I have this in my documents: \usetypescript[adobekb][\defaultencoding] \setupbodyfont[pos,12pt] everything works well, my document is typeset in times, but I get this error: bodyfont : unknown variant pos What gives? Has "pos" been replaced by a new magic formula? All best Thomas

synopsis / column(set)s?

Hi all, I am trying to make a synopsis, i.e a text where in the leftmost column the original document can be read, in the middle the changes and in the right column the reasons for the changes. So basically I want to typeset first some text in the leftmost column (over several pages, on a grid), and then the one in the middle and then the one on the right. Is there an easy way to do this using column(set)s? Any help greatly appreciated ... Greetings, AleX

startappendices creates an extra empty page

Hi, When is use \startappendices \stopappendices to create appendices, I get an extra empty page. Is there a way to solve this? If I put another chapter after the \stopappendices statement, then there is no empty page. See the following test: \setupoutput[pdftex] \starttext \chapter[]{Chapter} This a chapter \section[]{Section} This a section \startappendices \chapter[]{Appendix} This the appendix \stopappendices % \chapter[]{extra} % This extra \stoptext Any suggestions? Known nath bugs?

Hello all, is there a list of know nath bugs somewhere on the web? I tried to find one using Google, but unfortunately without success. The reason I'm asking this is that I'm encountering some problems with the module and would like to know if they are common or if it's related to my configuration. First of all, using the units module together with nath doesn't seem to work - for instance, $1\Micro\Coulomb$ works as expected without nath, but produces the error message "Please don't say \def cs{...}, say \def\cs{...}" when used together with nath. I also thought that delimiters like ( or [ should automatically adjust to the formula they contain, but (\sum_{something} \frac{something}{something}) only produces standard parentheses. Commands like \lbrace or \lbrack work as expected, though. If these problems are unknown, I can post a small example file and my logfile. Best regards, Sebastian

Does someone knows where there is information on the table environment in ConTeXt? I have read the intro on ConTeXt and the pamphlets from the Pragma-site on tabulate and btable, but there seem to be a lot more options than can be found in these; I encountered something like \AR etc. whose effects I could not figure out with some tests. Also there is some mention of Wichura's manual. Is this somewhere to be found on the internet? Thanks in advance. Hans van der Meer

Two texexec.ini files?

I have noticed that the ConTeXt distribution contains both $TEXMF/context/config/texexec.rme and $TEXMF/scripts/context/perl/texexec.rme Are they both supposed to be used? What happens if they're not the same? Can \note repeat its footnote?

Hi all! The \note[xxx] command is used to reference a previously defined footnote. Is it possible that the previously defined footnote is repeated if a page break had occured between the \footnote[xxx]{bla bla bla} and the corresponding \note[xxx] command? Thanks for your attention, --Stefan
