pagination problem with \startitemize[columns]

I sent a response to an earlier thread about this, but I don't know if it got through (my mail was down later that day). Anyway, here's an example of something that gets messed up. Text following the itemize doesn't get paginated properly. Having a new chapter after it seems to fix it from there on, though. \starttext \chapter{One} \dorecurse{7}{\input zapf \par\relax} \startitemize[columns,four] \dorecurse{12}{\nop \type{[:alnum:]}} \stopitemize \dorecurse{7}{\input zapf \par\relax} \stoptext This fails for \startitemize[columns] as well. It seems that the problem arises when the itemize is pushed onto the second page. Remove the first \dorecurse{7}{\input ...} and it works fine... Hello everybody, Thanks for helping me solve the problem. It was wonderful seeing the metafun manual. One more query : In a two level definition like: def test(expr p)= __temp_call(p) enddef; def __temp_call(expr p)(text t)= ........ enddef; so as to allow definitions for macros like "draw". Now, I want to have a macro similar to "draw" but also I want to have a suffix attached to the macro name. so, I did something like: vardef test@#(expr p)= __temp_call@#(p) enddef; vardef __temp_call@#(expr p)(text t)= ........ enddef; But this will obviously not work. But then I also have to define the macro with "vardef" inorder to have "@#" suffix. Can someone please help me here? Thanks. Vinuth.M.Madinur. Hi, the en/nl/etc have to do with the interface language and there is no spanisch interface (yet) if you want to typeset spanish, you need spanish patterns and these are loaded by default, so texexec --make --alone will do for you. MPost: how to pass variables from mpost to TeX.

Hi everyone, My mpost doesnt have textext macro. So, what are the other ways of doing it? What I want to do is this : %I have a variable GbLableName GbLableName=B_2; %Now I want to use this variable like this: lable.bot( btex GbLableName etex , (0,0) ); But this will just display GbLableName instead of B_2. So can someone please tell how this can be done? I know too little about TeX. Someone suggested about using Textext macro. But my MPost version doesnt have it. So are there any other ways of doing it? Looking forward for it.. \dogetobject and pdf

Hello Hans, I'm sorry, your patch of the May 17 works well for dvi, but not for pdf: the figure is again shifted down and to the left. Here an example: \setupoutput[pdftex] \starttext X\externalfigure[example][width=5cm]X \stoptext example.pdf is attached, also the resulting pdf. Concerning the issus with \useencoding[ffr] and FitBH: Do you think, you could solve the problems? If not, I'll go on trying to find solutions. I apologize in advance for asking what I am sure is a repeated question but I cannot find the answer in manuals and archives. In Metafun externalfigure "file.pdf" xyscale(x,y) ; how does one find the size of a graphic in order to scale it appropriately TIA -- Nigel
