ConTeXt or Omega?

Hi: I know that some people are using ConTeXt with Omega. What's the benefit to using Omega instead of a native ConTeXt module? Is it better to develop ConTeXt's language handling capablilities (as with the Chinese package) or use Omega OTPs? Thanks, Matt

page breakes in \bTD \eTD / \chapter in \bTD

Hi, I try to HTML->PDF some HTML pages using ConTeXt. Unfortunally, some of them contain tables for layout reasons. Seemingly there is no pagebreak possible within a \bTD. Any ideas what to do in this case? An additional problem is that <td><h2>foo</h2></td> appear. which gets translated as: \defineXMLsingular[h2] \section \defineXMLenvironment[table] \bTABLE \eTABLE \defineXMLnested[tr] \bTR \eTR \defineXMLnested[td] \bTD \eTD \defineXMLnested[th] \bTH \eTH How should I define "h2" in order to get a section (bookmarks, table of contents) within that bTD ... eTD, currently 'foo' is rendered in the normal textsize. About texmf.cnf

Hi: My latex-context installation have not the "texmf.cnf" file so I can´t to enable \write18 in order ti run the presentation's styles correctly. Is this a problem of my system? If the "texmf.cnf" must be on my PC, where could I get it, please? Thank you very much. Eduardo F. Hi: I am trying to compile the follow file with context: \usemodule[pre-03] \starttext \TitlePage{A simple presentation} \Topics{Hola1} \Topic{Hola2} \Topic{Hola3} \Subject{Hola4} \Subject{Hola5} \stoptext And the results are not good. m-bib: simple references not working

Hi, I am trying to get my document references right using the m-bib module. All kind of options I played with are doing fine except for the most simple one, which happens to be the one I prefer. extra spacing

With math followed by a \crlf extra spacing is introduced in the math. For example: Test \crlf (1) inverse $b\rightarrow b^{-1}$ \crlf (2) inverse $b\rightarrow b^{-1}$\hfill\null \crlf (3) inverse $b\rightarrow b^{-1}$ In line (1) extra white is introduced around the white arrow. In line (2) the fix is given, allthough not a problem ii is a nuisance. In line (3) one sees it is the \crlf that lets the math expand because here no extra white. Is this a feature or has this phenomenon escaped attention hitherto? Hans van der Meer

Hi, I posted http://www.pragma-ade.com/temp/titus.pdf now, one thing with unicode (utf) is that support needs to have an associated font / language switch. Traditionally, tex font mechanisms have been complicated by the fact that there are many shapes per font and math has to be dealt with. Presentation that use metafun

Hi: I have generated all formats with: texexec --make --alone Now, I am trying to compile the presentation that Hans include in context distribution. The results with original style are perfect but those style that include metafun graphics didn't work. I uncomment the line \runMPgraphicstrue in the cong-sys.tex file (as indicate in the presentation user's guide) but the results are not good. ¿Which is the rigth site of conf-sys.tex file? ¿c:\textmf\context\config\? how to use system fonts?

I've read the relevant docs (mfonts.pdf, etc) but still can't figure out how to switch fonts in context. In LaTeX, I just use \usepackage{times} or \usepackage{utopia} to switch fonts (just the basic ones came with tetex). I expect something similar in ConTeXt but that is not the case. This compiles but doesn't have any effect on fonts, (unknown variant times and utopia). \setupbodyfont[times] \starttext This is roman, {\bf bold}, {\it italic}, {\bi bold-italic}, {\tfa bigger} and {\tfx smaller}. \switchtobodyfont[utopia] This is roman, {\bf bold}, {\it italic}, {\bi bold-italic}, {\tfa bigger} and {\tfx smaller}. \stoptext If I follow the instruction on http://home.salamander.com/~wmcclain/context-help.html and I can create some type-x.tex file for the fonts, like \usetypescriptfile[type-charter] \usetypescriptfile[type-utopia] \usetypescript[Charter] \usetypescript[Utopia] \setupbodyfont[MyCharter] \starttext This is roman, {\bf bold}, {\it italic}, {\bi bold-italic}, {\tfa bigger} and {\tfx smaller}. \switchtobodyfont[MyUtopia] This is roman, {\bf bold}, {\it italic}, {\bi bold-italic}, {\tfa bigger} and {\tfx smaller}. \stoptext But shouldn't those typescripts be already set up? I have \usetypescript [map] [default,\defaultencoding] \usetypescript [berry] [\defaultencoding] in my $TEXMF/tex/context/user/cont-sys.tex file. texexec

Hi: I just re-installed TeX (fpTeX) and I have a question about running texexec. I've followed the instructions in the texexec manual--i.e., customized and copied texexec.rme to texexec.ini-- but I still get the following error when I run texexec: locating ini file : not found by kpsewhich locating ini file : not found by searching locating ini file : no environment variable set locating ini file : not found in own path warning : texexec.ini not found, did you read 'texexec.rme'? the context/perltk directory is in my path. Any ideas as to what I'm missing? thanks in advance Matt
