Possible bug: definetextbackground and grid layout

The following example fails to compile, complaining "Missing { inserted." It compiles cleanly if one or more of the three marked lines are removed. This is the case with TL2013 and with recent standalone beta versions. Line numbering in columns broken

In the latest beta (2014.04.03 16:20) there are updates to the line numbering system that break its function in columns. (In the past it didn't work at all in many situations, not it works but in a buggy way). In the example below, the line numbering passes over everything twice resulting in two overlapping numbers for each line. \starttext \startlinenumbering \startcolumns \input{knuth} \stopcolumns \stoplinenumbering \stoptext

[fontloader] does base mode support combining substitutions?

Hi Hans, when combining e.g. certain number substitutions like onum and pnum or tnum and lnum, node mode seems to work fine. However, those do have value in math mode as well which node mode does not currently support. For comparison, here is a test file: https://bitbucket.org/phg/lua-la-tex-tests/raw/93745dba31e23febb02191c039de… Is there a way to define a font with the combination of, say tnum and lnum that will work in math mode? Metapost: I only need a little bit padding

I want to have a rectangle (box) with a word in it (i.g. "Headline). And all should be rotated 90°. Below I found a solution I am quite happy with. How can I get a little bit more padding around the text in the box? Bugs in linenumbering ?

Hello, Here is an example that highlights a few problems I have with linenumbering. When the line numbers are located in the margin, everything is fine. But when the number is located in the text: 1) Text overflows in the right margin. 2) Paragraph indenting does not work. We can even see a kind of right indentation appear. 1+2 => First line of the paragraph is too short, netx ones are too long. 3) linenumbering does not work within footnotes (neither with line numbers in margin nor in text). I am exploring the feasibility of presenting two interacting PDF files side by side. bug with head in indices

Hans, I’m afraid that the last beta (from today) introduced a bug that prevents heads to be generated with indices. The minimal sample: \starttext \index{æ}ae \chapter{Index place} \placeindex %~ \completeindex \stoptext It doesn’t work either with \placeindex or \completeindex. label in Metapost

Ten years ago I made a book with ConText and some Metapost. I made a circle and wrote the number into it: \startuseMPgraphic{Pagenumber} defaultfont := "pxb"; defaultscale := 1.5; fill fullcircle scaled 36pt withcolor .75white; numeric i; string pagex; i := PageNumber; pagenum = decimal i; label( pagenum, center currentpicture) withcolor black; \stopuseMPgraphic "label" does not write the number into the circle - years ago this was working. What changed in new Metapost? How can I get the number into the circle?
