Hi all, In the course of a project I wanted to create a decorative border around a framed text. The border should be built from chosen glyphs which are placed along the border as pictures. For this purpose the textext macro is a good candidate. However I run into troubles. With help from Hans, a solution could be found. Hans, thank you so much! I have created a section on the wiki, where the problem is shown and the solution is given. Stopper and itemize

hi, In the following code, the default stopper is the point. \starttext \startitemize[columns,a,joinedup] \item $f(0)$ \item $g(0,3)$ \item $f(\sqrt 2)$ \item $g(-4)$ \stopitemize \stoptext How to have a break ? Best regards, Fabrice

You can open that file in any text processor (I mostly use TeXShop) and manually change the Author for this particular entry. In the .bbl the field Author has this form: \author[]{}[]{}{} . You should be able to solve your problem by putting inside the last pair of brackets exactly how you would like your authors et. al. to appear in your output. Place the whole lot again between brackets: \author[]{}[]{}{{Zhou, Tom Chao and Lyu, Michael R. and King, Irwin}} or whatever you want. But again, don’t input the bib-file. Every time you do that the old .bbl is overwritten and your correction will be lost. ConTeXt uses the .bbl, not the .bib. I hope this helps. Best regards, Robert Blackstone

Starting with bibliography / international entries

Hi, it’s the first time I need a proper bibliography, and our book will be published in three languages (German, English and Russian). Most of the sources are in Russian. I’d use everything (titles, author names) in original spelling (i.e. cyrillic), but would like to provide also a transliteration. In German and English issues I’d like to use a „Latin“ reference code, in Russian a Cyrillic (or original-type) one. What format would you suggest for the database? Can ConTeXt MkIV already handle something „better“ than .bib? (I guess the information in the wiki is outdated?) Does general BibTeX documentation still apply? Strange error with bookmarks

While trying to make a longer document with ConTeXt I stumbled into a strange error with the latest beta (I spotted it for the first time some time ago). For the following file: \setupinteraction[state=start,focus=standard] \placebookmarks[part,chapter][part,chapter][number=no] \starttext \chapter{0} \startpart[title={A}] \chapter{1} \chapter{2} \stoppart \startpart[title={B}] \chapter{3} \chapter{4} \chapter{5} \chapter{6} \chapter{7} \chapter{8} \chapter{9} \chapter{10} \stoppart \completecontent[criterium=all] \stoptext ConTeXt would generate a file in which the link for chapter "6" is not working. Neither the link in the table of contents works nor the link in the generated PDF bookmarks. When removing the second line, the link in the table of contents doesn't work, but everyting is ok if one removes the table of contents. What seems even more weird for me, the problem goes away if one removes *any* chapter. It persists for chapter "6" even if chapters are distributed differently between parts without changing their order. Am I doing something wrong? I hope someone might be able to help. resetting footnotes number

Dear list, As I have a book with many chapters, I’d like to reset footnote numbering at each chapter. How can I achieve this? I’m looking here: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Footnotes but can’t find a solution I looked also at \setupfootnotes but it says: way bytext bysection Start numbering from 1 again at the start of every section? first line indents

Hi, I’d like to have first line indents for the whole document I’m working o (the latter including various chapter). Each new line, an indent. Following the wiki, I’m able only to get the first line of a section indented.
