Hallo ConTeXt list members, I'd like to arrange A5 landscape pages to A4 in this order ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- | 1 | | 2 | | 5 | | 6 | | 9 | | 10 | ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- | 3 | | 4 | | 7 | | 8 | | 11 | | 12 | ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- for doublesided printing. I'd tried to set \setuparranging[2DOWN] or \setuparranging[2TOP] but it is not desired arrangement. I also experimented with \pusharrangedpage... \poparrangedpages... \handlearrangedpage... macros but I wasn't succsessful. Please, can somebody help me? hi I defined e new head like this: \definehead[class][subject] \setuphead[class][placehead=no] in the text I defined a head as \class{TRANSLATOR\_APPLICATION} in my header I want to have the follwoing output: "Exercise 5 - TRANSLATOR_APPLICATION" i tried \setupheadertexts[Exercise 5 - class] but then the output is: "Exercise 5 - class] how can I get what I want? if I only type \setupheadertexts[class] then the output is "TRANSLATOR_APPLICATION" thx for help severin -- HoHoHo! immediate write

Hi, I ought to write information to a temporary file using immediate write .... The information concerned is placed on more than one line, but afterwards the info in the temp-file will have a single line only. So I loose all my new-line commands. Is there a way to keep those new-lione commands while using immediate write? Kind regards Willi

hi list, thanks for the hint with te_cont i was looking for *tex* so i never found anything. So, i have installed all missing packets and the sample works fine. Then i tried the first example from "typsetting flow charts". \setupFLOWcharts[...] \startFLOWchart[grid] \stopFLOWchart What is the mentioned "testmode" ? where i can see grid ? the second example is the definition of a cell but i am unable to create any output because: no legal \end found but where ? the examples contain no end (in the sense \begin{} \end{} ) Can i download the examples somewhere ? regards, walter

german hyphenation patterns

Hi out there, I'am not sure if this is a ConTeXt problem (I doubt it slightly) but I am a bit confused: How can I activate german hyphenation patterns? I have used \mainlanguage[de] in my document and it was OK some time ago. Meanwhile I have updated ConTeXt and my TeX (current texlive). Where should I start to check? The output of my context run is: [...] language : language en is active [...] bodyfont : 12pt rm is loaded language : patterns 2:2-en-2 loaded specials : fdf,tpd loaded Patrick -- You are your own rainbow!

references to external documents

Hi all! I'm working with huge XML documents which are compiled to PDF (with ConTeXt) and converted to HTML (with XSLT and others). These XML documents contain references to external files (images). References are mapped to paths with XML code; i.e. <imgref id="cow" src="./images/cow.png"/>. Translating such a map to ConTeXt is rather obvious. But how to implement simmilar mechanism for external XML documents? In example I would like to use command \useexternaldocument[intro][introduction.xml] and than process 'introduction.xml' on the base of is ID reference ('intro'). Is it possible? Does ConTeXt suport referencing documents as well as figures? Regards, Pawe/l
