Problems with the pscyr font package

Hello All! I'm fresh ConTeXt user, trying to move from LaTeX. And I have several problems with fonts in ConTeXt 2005.06.07 (teTeX-3.0). First of all: pscyr. It's a cyrillic type1 font package which works perfectly in LaTeX, but in Plain TeX and ConTeXt whitespaces between words disappear. My input files: Test font. \font\myfont=fcori6a \myfont Test of font. Some text to test it. \bye and ConTeXt: \mainlanguage[ru] \useregime[cyr] \enableregime[koi8-r] \definefontsynonym[somefont][fcori6a][encoding=t2a] \definefont[myfont][somefont] \starttext Test of text. \myfont Test of PSCyr text. \stoptext What I'm doing wrong? -- Radhelorn <radhelorn(a)mail.ru>

Metapost question

Hello, does someone know how, if at all, one can printout some variable? Like Emean:=(2*Eone+Ezero+2*Etwo)/5.; label.urt(btex $A = x$ .... where x is the value of Emean? I frequently create some diagrams, modify them and then forget to change the label. (If one could set the number of digits, it would be even nicer.) Tobias

<mtext> formatting broken?

Hi all, quick query: In presentational mathml, the <mtext> element used to set its contents in roman font, with correct spacing for text. In recent and current (Live) ConTeXt this seems to be broken, and the contents of <mtext> elements come out in math italic with spaces ignored. Test file showing problem on Live: \usemodule[mathml] \setuppagenumbering[state=stop] \starttext \startXMLdata <math display="block"> <mrow><mml:mtext>vol</mml:mtext><mo>×—</mo><msqrt> <mrow><mo>(</mo><mi>t</mi><mo>-</mo><mi>T</mi><mo>)</mo> </mrow> </msqrt> </mrow> </math>\stopXMLdata \stoptext "vol" should be in roman, not math italic. Presentation Styles

Hello, I recently prepared a presentation using pre-05. The Topics, represented as buttons in a column on the left, are now each preceeded by a number. This was not the case when I last used the style back in January. Interestingly, s-pre-05.tex has not changed since then. This behavior is the same on both the latest ConTeXt alpha and beta releases. I'd appreciate it very much if anyone could shed some light on why these numbers are appearing. Thanks in advance, Michael Guravage

importing figures in metapost

Hi to all, newbie here, so please pardon me if I'm asking obvious things. I'm a latex user, but I am fascinated by context. I've a project and I'd like to know if it's possible to do it in context. The idea is the following: I have to draw a directed graph representing relations between musical elements. My graph is made of nodes and links. Links are represented as arrows as usual, but they should include a label with text displayed near to each of them. Nodes should be blocks of musical notation. Now, I'm using lilypond to generate musical fragments (www.lilypond.org) Lilypond outputs ps, pdf and png also. For my project actually I am using the pgf package under latex. In this way I can create graphs: I can draw lines with arrows, I can give each vertex an xy pair of coordinates, and I can associate each vertex an external figure. But I'n not satisfied with the output, and I like very much context capabilties: more, metafun is amazing. Taking a look at the metafun doc, it seems to me that the drawing the edges should be a very simple task. But: is it possible to import an external figure inside metapost giving it a precise place in terms of xy coordinates? Thanks a lot -a-

Problem with defineenumeration [number=no]

Hello, if I'm not mistaken as usual, the number=no option of \ defineenumeration is broken in ConTeXt ver: 2005.06.08 fmt: 2005.6.13: \mainlanguage [en] \defineenumeration [test] [text=Test, number=no, location=hanging] \starttext \starttest What's that? \stoptext produces "ommandTest" instead of just "Test". Please advise. Matthias

I had been processing a rather complicated set of pages successfully until late this morning. Headers, footers, page numbering

Dear All I have produced a nice little A5 pamphlet which I will be printing on A4 paper. I have had a lot of fun doing this and I am quite pleased that I was able to install fonts and fleurons which I needed in the process. However, I have a problem which I am having difficulty in solving. How can I stop the Header, footer and page number being printed on the first page?
