Split TABLE plea.

Hello, Please have a look at the attached monster of a table - not very pretty to begin with - but I'll have to deal. Despite the patch from Hans the file includes, I'm unable to break the thing onto multiple pages. Can somebody please have mercy and nudge me into the right direction with this? Joh

General Float Placement Question

Hi all, Is it possible to combine placement attributes when specifying a floating figure or table? \placefloat[.1.][ref,..]{.2.}{.3.} .1. left right here top bottom inleft inright inmargin margin page opposite always force tall .2. text .3. text In my case, I'd like to ensure that figures in a double-sided document appear together, with the first on the left page and the second on the right. What I have reads: \placefigure [90,opposite] [Fig:a] {Figure a caption goes here} \externalfigure[a][width=0.8\makeupheight]} \placefigure [90] [Fig:b] {Figure b caption goes here} \externalfigure[b][width=0.8\makeupheight]} For the first figure, will a location of [90,opposite] ensure a rotated left-page figure? Likewise, is it possible to ensure that the second figure is forced to the next right page? Cheers, Randall

textbackground exceeds its scope

Hi, I have encountered a really strange bug in textbackground. Occasionally, textbackground colors the whole page instead of just the text between \starttextbackground and \stoptextbackground. This happens only when I am using module mag-01 and have \setuptyping[style=\ttx\setupinterlinespace] set. Attached is the minimal example that I could make. Tested with beta ConTeXt ver: 2006.04.18 22:36 fmt: 2006.4.23 int: english mes: english For this test, ConTeXt ver: 2006.04.10 20:04 fmt: 2006.4.23 does not give any problem, but similar problem occurs at some other place. If it is important, I can try to make a minimal file to reproduce the problem with latest stable release. Latest build of Context and the Polish-fonts

Hi, tonight I installed the todays built of Context in a minimal tree. - No problem so far! Bases on the recent discussions concerning a glyph I fetched the latest font-zips from the polish site. After installing everything it appeared, that a wrong set of mapfiles for iwona is loaded. I found that the correct version of the typescript is in the type-map.tex already. So what needs to be done is to switch from the set map-files like "iwona-rm.map" to "rm-iwona.map". Further I believe that there might still be a bug in the encoding (?) for the heavy variants: If I compile the attached file, I find that "sin^2" is regular instead of heavy. - (Heavy for the text is not setup, so it comes out as roman-regular fall back i.e. latin-modern.) We hebben Mojca Miklavec bereid gevonden, mee te doen aan ons bijeenkomst in Den Helder / TeXel. Zij zal daar een presentatie geven over GNU-plot en de integratie hiervan met TeX. Dit is een project, dat door haar getrokken wordt. Ik heb haar gevraagd, wat de reiskosten zijn. Het vliegticket hiernaartoe en de terugreis met de trein naar Ljubliana is 100 + 80 Euro. Ik stel voor, dat we haar die kosten vergoeden. Willi

TABLE: 'distance' override?

Hello, In my quest for tables similar to what the 'booktabs' package in LaTeX produces, I have run into a problem: something like '\bTABLE[distance=7.5pt]' will give me the sought for gaps in horizontal lines, but I have trouble implementing an uninterrupted topframe for the first and bottomframe for the last row. Is there any way of overriding the 'distance' parameter locally, so that for example the topframe of the first (header) row is uninterrupted, while the bottomframe comes with the 'distance' dictated gaps? For clarification see the attached file. While the gaps are desired for 'bottomframe' of the header row(s), the 'topframe' should be continuous. It would be even more marvelous if I could modify bottomframe- and topframe-rule thickness independently ... A recent proposal on this list to achieve the desired effect involved putting the whole table into a frame and displaying it's top- and bottomframe. However, that doesn't work for tables to be split over multiple pages and I'm hunting for the most generic of all mechanisms ... Thanks for any thoughts on this, Joh
