But I would like to know, how setup-xx.pdf is updated. The commands in 'the details' are rather old. As the other Wolfgang explained, the source of all this is a xml-file 'cont-xx.xml'. Is this file updated by hand? Who does this? Hans alone? I guess, the commands shown in texshow are depending on the same file. Btw. for me (MSIE 5.5) the texshow page is not working. I see the left frame and the right only for home, help and special. For all commands (server or dns not found). With wget I got all the stuff, but the language is sort of random. Sometimes I got en, sometimes other. May be I got the last selected language. Wolfgang

Lists of cross-references

Hello, I'm working on functions for displaying lists of cross-references between documents and I'm therefore a bit curious to here if others have similar needs. If there are, maybe I should try to make a real module and not just at private hack. Maybe modules for this already exist. A substantial part of my work as software engineer I spend writing and maintaining documents, e.g. 'User requirement specification', 'Functional specification', 'Design specification', 'Test specification', 'Test plan', 'Test results', 'Project plan'. Between these documents are often large number of cross-references, e.g. functions in the FS refer to requirements in the URS, tests in the TS refer to functions in the FS and requirements URS and so on and so on. Make page number appear on top of image

Hi, I want to combine some papers into a single pdf file "with page numbers". I am including the papers using \copypages[filename] However, the pagenumber is not printed when the paper is a scanned copy. I guess this is because the page number is printed and then the scanned image is printed on top of it, thereby hiding the page number. How can I force the page number to appear on top? Append to a commalist

Hello, Is there a smart way to create a commalist? I want to get the equivalent of \setparameter[namespace][listname={item1,item2,item3}] but be able to append one item at the time, like \append{namepace}{listname}{item1} \append{namepace}{listname}{item2} \append{namepace}{listname}{item3} I have tired this: \def\append#1#2#3{ \fullexpandoneargafter\doifemptyelse{\getvariable{#1}{#2}} {\edef\tmp{#3}} {\edef\tmp{\getvariable{#1}{#2},#3}} \setvariables[#1][#2={\tmp}]} but it only works for one list. Apparently \tmp is not expanded so when an item is appended to one list all other lists are affected. I have tried \expanded but got the message stack full. color question

If this is OT, my apologies to all. I am currently using ConTEXt to produce PDFs with a colored background which I specify using R G B settings. Unfortunately, this background does not look the same when others open the files on their computers. Is there anything I can do at my end to correct this? Alan

Bibtex and "et al"

Hi, I am using the bib module using the AMS format. I've noticed that all the publications that get appended "et al" to the authors, do not include any space between the authors name and "et al". Example: John Doeetal, Publication Title Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks, Pepe

Hi all, The 3dartwork module can be found here: http://www.nibua-r.org/ConTeXt/devel/3dartwork.tgz Someone could maybe process test-3dartwork on a windows machine and report if there is trouble... Warning: The use of the "piping" syntax is only possible with the last pdfTeX (thanks to Taco). I use pdfTeX 3.141592-1.40.0-beta-20060928-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.5) to process test-3dartwork. What I need now is: 1. How to call \input "| ls" (for example) from t-3dartwork instead of test-3dartwork ? 2. To ConTeXt gurus: Could you check if my use of ConTeXt is "clean"... (I will rewrite my rough view.rb... ;) ) 3. To ConTeXt's community: feature requests ? I've seen that octaga has released a x3d plugin for acrobat (included with the last octaga player for windows).
