Why must I move frame to center it?

I am using some old code that Hans provided to create a pretty frame around some text, for purposes of a "Part" header page. Module for ptj

Hi Aditya, I've just played some with your module for the PracTeX journal. This is very nice to have, I'm absolutely thrilled! When I wrote for them, I just relied on a self-cooked style, but yours looks much closer to the official LaTeX template. Just two or three very small remarks: 1. You should mention somewhere that your module necessitates installing the texgyre fonts (at least pagella) + the map files. They don't come with a normal ConTeXt installation (yet). 2. I haven't really looke into the texgyre fonts yet, but is it possible to make mediaeval numbers the default? Given that they are used for page and section numbers, that would make sense, IMHO. 3. The line endings in lines 226 and 227 need to be escaped; otherwise, you'll get a spurious space in front of the abstract buffer (visible in output in demo mode). Thanks so much for providing this module; I'll certainly use it if I write anything for PTJ again! Best Thomas

Dear Friends, I am having problems with Context under Miktex. The document is processed, but nothing happens. Bug: missing stopper?

Hello, playing with \defineenumeration I noticed some weird behaviour: whenever I set an enumeration to be unnumbered the stopper is mysteriously suppressed ... I searched the mailing list for this problem and I discovered that people have experienced problems related to the stopper option before. However, these appeared to have been solved. Subpagenumbering...

Good afternoon, Currently I use ConTeXt ver: 2006.11.16 12:02 MK II fmt: 2006.11.16 int: english/english While preparing a manual I run into the following problem: The document has the following structure: part,chapter,section The TOC is placed in a separate part. Unfortunately the subpagenumbers won't show the required result i.e. the subpages of the first actual document are included in the first part, the TOC. I can't figure out, why this happens. Parsing texexec output

Hi, I was fixing a bug in my AucTeX and found that at present it is difficult to parse the output from texexec. Basically Emacs runs texexec in a buffer in --batchmode, then tries to parse the output whether an error occurred and where. Unfortunately with texexec I don't get any error messages (besides the return code), so if something goes wrong, the user only knows that something isn't right, but not what it is. (It also doesn't print page numbers, either.) In comparison, LaTeX when run in \nonstopmode prints the error message normally and continues to process the file; that makes it easy to parse it, jump to the line where the error was detected and even present the user with an explanation of the error message. In order to get similar features with ConTeXt, it would be nice if texexec could be made to be a little bit more verbose in its --batchmode output. Is there a way to do this currently? Philipp
