Float references in a register

Is it possible to have float references (i.e. Table 1.1) alongside page numbers in a register? I've never come across it before, but I've just been asked to produce an index which has entries like: coverage measurement tools 176-177, Table 6.5 I have looked through core-reg without much illumination. I wonder if I can use \writetoregister but experiments thus far haven't been successful. Is this sort of thing supported/supportable? Thanks, Duncan

Hello, Using \combinepages[some-pdf][nx=3,ny=5], I get: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 However, I'd like to get: 1 5 9 2 6 10 3 7 11 4 8 12 How can one achieve this? (I want to create again a poster out of talk.pdf.) Tobias

Problems mapping Xml into ConTeXt

Hi everyone, I am attempting to map some XML into ConTeXt as described in the manual "XML in ConTeXt". Essentially we have a bunch of tagged text (the XML "loosely" based on some of the XHTML tags) from which we want to produce PDF letters for dispatch (via email, post etc). I am having particular problems implementing the following commands: - \underbar, \underbars, \overstrike, \overstrikes, \low, \high and \lohi I was expecting that they would all easily be defined using the \defineXMLgrouped [name] {command} element mapping. There is probably something very simple that I have not setup correctly since I am sure that this has been attempted before and would appreciate pointers as to where I am going wrong. The following attempts at mapping element to \underbar illustrates my problem which also seems largely applicable to the <strike>, and mapping: - 1. This def of does nothing ... \defineXMLgrouped [u] \underbar 2. This def of also does nothing ... \defineXMLgrouped [u] {\groupedcommand{\underbar}{}} 3. This def of underlines the 1st character only ... \defineXMLenvironment [u] {\bgroup\underbar} {\egroup} 4. In the mailing list, there is a suggestion that \underbar does not allow line-breaking, so I also tried the following. file name in s-mod-??.tex

Hans, In s-mod-??, the file name is simply typeset as \tt\Modulefile. This prevents an _ (underscore) in filenames. Can this be changed to \filename{\Modulefile} for a more robust solution? Aditya

Combinations

Hello everyone, I have 14 graphs that I want to arrange in a single page. I've found the best wat to do that is with a 3 by 5 combination. Yet, it would look better if I had a 3 by 4 combination and a 2 by 1 centered underneath the preveious. Is there some simple way to do that? Also, a while ago I asked about the font size of the captions in the combinations, which wasn't being respected in Math mode. I've tried in the latest beta and the problem persists. Any ideas? Example: \setupcaptions[ headstyle=\ss\bf,style=\tfx ] \setupcombinations[ style=\tfx\em ] \starttext \placefigure [center] {Combination Caption} \startcombination [2*1] {\framed[height=.45\textwidth,width=.45\textwidth]{My Graphic 1}}{Text: Test. new (working) LilyPond module

Hi ho! I just uploaded a new version of the LilyPond module into the garden: http://modules.contextgarden.net/t-lilypond Docs: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/LilyPond It should work with GNU LilyPond from version 2.8 (tested with latest 2.9) and got some new features: - change the fonts (e.g. for lyrics and chords) - switch clef and bar numbers on/off - use LilyPond settings with boolean values (##t, ##f) A very big THANK YOU to Christopher Creutzig who not only wrote the old edition, but also wrote all the new TeX code that I don't understand ;-) (Christopher, the uploaded version has less bugs than the one I sent to you earlier - forgot to test the settings...) BEWARE! LilyPond typesetting works only with the old Perl texexec; texmfstart texexec fails in 3 points: - the LilyPond snippet (buffer) counter stays at 1 - texexec doesn't reckognize that it should do another TeX run to place the "pictures" - the module documentation lacks the title page I guess this is a bug or two... Even with \setuptables[split=yes,align=left] (a la \setupframed) there is still a small offset of the leftmost column.
