backward compatibility [URGENT]

Hi, re-typesetting a book (that was last set with ConTeXt ver: 2007.08.09) I had to see that several pages now have a different line- break (and so the page-break and the TOC and the index register are changed) ... quite a mess. I guess is not so easy to find out what changes in the ConTeXt source result in these changes now. So to continue work it will be probably better to downgrade again my ConTeXt. Is there an easy way to do this, like using sudo ctxtools -- updatecontext and use the respective files from the museum? Thanks, Steffen

Hair space and non-breaking hyphen

Hi, I've seen two interesting Unicode characters that I would like to use: Hair space: U+200A (it's supposed to be a space that's small, used around emdashes sometimes). Non-breaking hyphen: U+2011 (an hyphen where the word is not supposed to be broken by hyphenation). I would like to know if I can use them in Context. Is Context going to respect non-breaking hyphens in hyphenation algorithms? Is hair space going to be what it is supposed to, no matter which font I use? Thanks, Maurício

Hi, Do you guys have tips on how to typeset verses? There's an item for that on the wiki: wiki.contextgarden.net/Visuals but nobody filled it yet. If we collect a nice bunch of tips I can put them in the wiki. Thanks for your help, Maurício

Hello, I have used these settings (it prevents verses from splitting, and makes an indent for chorus): \setupinterlinespace[line=1.5em] %(optional, but looks better) \definestartstop [verse] [before=\vbox\bgroup\startlines, after=\stoplines\egroup] \definestartstop [chorus] [before=\startnarrower\startlines, after=\stoplines\stopnarrower] but later (don't remember why) I used the following: \definestartstop [verse] [before=\blank\startlinecorrection\ruledvbox\bgroup\startlines, after=\stoplines\egroup\stoplinecorrection\blank] \definestartstop [chorus] [before=\blank\startnarrower\startlines, after=\stoplines\stopnarrower\blank] \setuplines[before=\nowhitespace,after=\nowhitespace] Usage example: \startverse I see ya blowin' me a kiss It doesn't take a scientist To understand what's going on baby If you see something in my eye Let's not over analyze Don't go too deep with it baby \stopverse \startverse So let it be what it'll be Don't make a fuss and get crazy over you and me Here's what I'll do I'll play loose Run like we have a day with destiny \stopverse I also vote for publishing verse setup (maybe not this exactly) at Wiki. bugged mkiv

hi, there is a bug in the feature processer of the latest current mkiv (I added a verbose resolved but forgot something) so ... update ... synonyms with MKIV

Hello, I get unexpected output with this test-file: % engine=luatex \definesynonyms[test][tests] \test{testOne}{first test} \test{testTwo}{second test} \starttext \testOne \placelistoftests \stoptext I would expect: testOne testOne first test but I get: testOne test testOne (Perhaps a problem with parameter numbers #1, #2 etc. ?) gettimeofday under XP

Hi, I run into the following error with the new version: 'luatools --generate' results in Error in lua file loading: r:\tex\texmf-mswin\bin\luatools.lua:1402: attempt to call field 'gettimeofday' (a nil value) There seems to be no 'os.gettimeofday' under Windows XP.
