protruding with luatex mkiv?

Hello, how can I use protruding with mkiv and luatex? I tried different examples from the different manuals and the garden and found the following piece that works OK with pdftex and mkiv (?): ---------------------------------------------------------- \setupcolors[state=start] \setupfontsynonym [Serif] [handling=normal] \definetypeface[palatino][rm][serif][palatino][default] \setupbodyfont[palatino] \starttext \startframedtext[width=.5\textwidth,background=screen, offset=none,frame=off,align=hanging] \input tufte \stopframedtext \stoptext ---------------------------------------------------------- Is this the right way to use protruding with mkiv and luatex? And if it works, how do I use it with the otf version of delicious which typescript was presented some days ago on this list? And how can I use hz? (if I understand it right, hz makes some distances between characters mor beautifully) Thank you Uwe

Bigger interline space and grid

Hi, I cannot figure out how to increase the interline space with grid snapping. The following does not work \setuplayout[grid=yes] \setupinterlinespace[auto,big] \setupwhitespace [medium] \setupindenting [medium,yes] \showgrid \starttext \dorecurse{4}{\input knuth \endgraf} \stoptext What am I missing? bug in context/luatex

Hi, Hans: pdftex and LuaTeX produce different results with the following source file. Please check. I dont know whether it is a bug in ConTeXt or LuaTeX. \usetypescriptfile[type-buy] \usetypescript[lucida][texnansi] \setupbodyfont[lucida,12pt] \starttext `hello' \stoptext I use the tfms/map zip you attached in the mailing list together with the font bought from TUG. If there is something wrong with my installtion, let me know. Yue Wang

The binaries at PRAGMA haven't been updated since August, and you can only update ConTeXt using "download, unzip" approach, which makes you download the whole zip (independent of how much has changed), and doesn't update binaries. With minimals on the garden, only a single file will be updated in case that a single file has changed (rsync rules!!!). Minimals might have some files (fonts, binaries) missing (but feel free to request them) + standalone environment missing as well. Mojca

( Oops, pushed inadvertedly some key on my keyboard and the message was away while in GMail - here's the sequel... ) Having heard Linux is, amongst other things, far more stable I might be tempted to play with it and progressively build some experience with it, master the beast and then switch some applications, amongst which ConTeXt, to it. As I presently don't know a thing about Linux, which distribution do you recommend ? Problem installing ConTeXt Minimals

I've been trying to install ConTeXt Minimals to my other computer but I just can't get it to work. Installer exits with Error Code 1 and the first-setup.bat from the command line tools doesn't seem to get the required files either (after the script has run the folder is about 6.5Mb). I've installed Ruby, Perl, GhostScript and rsync as required. This might be a firewall issue but I couldn't find any notion of opening ports from installation instructions and with quick Googling I got the impressions that it shouldn't be required to open ports for rsync. So, can I fix this by opening something from my firewall or is the problem somewhere else? What exactly does that Error Code 1 mean? Thanks, Tomi Lindberg

Arabic index entries

Empty page at the end of document

After reading Wiki and searching this list I still have problems with the additional empty page appearing at the end of my document. This only happens when that said extra page would make the document to have even number of pages but as my document is meant to be singlesided I see no reason why it would be required to have an even number of pages. Here's my product file (in environment loaded in project there is a line "\setupsectionblock[backpart][page=]": \startproduct book \project atkmom \component images \startfrontmatter \environment fmatter \completecontent \stopfrontmatter \startbodymatter \environment body \component intro \component osbasics \stopbodymatter \startbackmatter \completeindex[title=Hakemisto] \stopbackmatter \stopproduct So is there any way to get rid off that extra page in documents that would otherwise be odd pages long? -- Thanks, Tomi Lindberg

Custom starting text of table and figure labels

Hello, Is it possible to define custom starting text of a table of picture label? For example so that figure would have a label like "Picture 1" instead of "Figure 1" or a table would have "Spreadsheet 1" instead of "Table 1". Thank you! Bye!
