bug in latest beta?

Hi all, the following code used to work, but broke in the latest beta. \at works well, but \in appears as a math "member of set" symbol ( ∈ ). ======================== \starttext \placefigure[here][abc]{xyz}{123} abc \at[abc]. abc \in[abc]. \stoptext ======================== I am using $ context --version MtxRun | main context file: /opt/home/hash/context/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/context.tex MtxRun | current version: 2008.56.06 19:11 $ luatex -v This is LuaTeX, Version snapshot-0.30.2-2008102016, build unknown any suggestions? ConTeXt MKIV bug: Chinese left aligned does not work as should

Hi, Hans: It seems that left aligned (flushright) does not work for chinese. I attach the minimal test files in the mail. To test the file, please download the zhfonts.tex from http://code.google.com/p/ctxnotes/downloads/list, and the adobe Chinese fonts. (I also mailed you these files long ago for other problems) Yue Wang

Centering last line of paragraph

Hi all, For some long-winded subtitles, I need a paragraph shape which has flush sides except the last line, which is centered. I haven't come across any solutions for this... any clues? Best, David

ConTeXt MKIV Bug: transparent does not work as should in mplib's textext

Change line spacing of the publication list

Hi, I find that when the lines pacing of the text is set by \setupinterlinespace, the line spacing of publication list is not affected at all. I am just wondering if it is possible to change the line spacing of the publication list produced by bibtex to make the article have a uniform look. Thanks in advance. Roy

on imposition and local or external files

Hi there, I would like to use imposition to rearrange an existing PDF as a booklet, but I don' have ConTeXt installed on the machine I would like to do it. Using http://live.contextgarden.net/ might do the job, but I have problems to load the local file. Is there any way to load a local file (or even an URL) with ConTeXt? How should I rewrite the following command to load a local file or an URL in ConteXt live? \insertpages[original_file.pdf][width=0pt] Thanks for your help, Pablo

apostrophe in a verbatim enviroment

Is it possible to get an apostrophe to typeset as a vertical mark ( ' ) rather than a curved mark ( ’ ) when using \starttyping and MKII? I am trying to get the old “typewriter” look for a brief stretch of text. Alan

How to set a empty string in texmf.cnf

Hi everyone, I need to set all SELFAUTOPARENT in texmf.cnf to empty string, but I don't know how. Here are what I have tried: SELFAUTOPARENT = SELFAUTOPARENT = "" SELFAUTOPARENT = '' SELFAUTOPARENT = $ SELFAUTOPARENT = ${} SELFAUTOPARENT = {} Although deleting all the SELFAUTOPARENT in texmf.cnf works, I just want my texmf.cnf more elegant :) Thanks in advance! How does mtxrun selecting tma files?

I'm new to the list and also new to ConTeXt. I'm configuring my ConTeXt distributed with TeX Live 2008 and I cannot get my mtxrun working. I'm using Gentoo which put texmf.cnf in /etc/texmf/web2c. I find that cont-en.tex is listed in 5a308100aaf95a99c661562a470a4cf8.tma. How can I make mtxrun searching in all tma files instead of only 3c56e5e8bc2a4b2593850bb5489fdfee.tma? Thanks in advance!
