xetex and attachment: troubles

Dear all, I'm using xetex with fun (as suggested and discussed on the mailing list). I'm revising a previously created document which used attachment command. (the one documented here: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ Verbatim_text#A_different_approach_to_formatting_and_code_colorization ) The actual version is here: http://www.cirma.unito.it/andrea/sw/sc/prd_tSCIRMA_scr.pdf Now, with ConTeXt no problem. If I use XeConTeXt (--> texexec --xtx) the file is not attached (there's the marker, a link is diplayed, but Acrobat says that there's no attachment). As far as I can say, the problem seems to depend on --xtx switch, Any hints? Paragraphs in Layers

Why does the following produce a single line when the layer content produces four lines in normal flow? How are paragraphs and new lines produced in layers? Hello Ulrike, If you use Windows, try the GUI installer. It sets all needed env vars globally, and always works like a charm :) http://minimals.contextgarden.net/setup/context-installer/ContextMinimalIns… (But beware, it may interfere with MikTeX registry settings). Vyatcheslav

Hello Thomas and everybody, I've checked hyph patterns for Russian and languages provided by you. I discovered that nothing has changed for last month -- the result is exactly the same for luatex 0.35 and 0.37, as well as respective ConTeXt builds. Two demo images are attached. Ask advices for underlines in coverage design.

Dear all, I'm trying to make a dissertation template for our university. The cover of the template has many underlines. It's so hard to do with those underlines with ConTeXt. I attached two files. One is "cover.tex" which designing coverage. The other is "main.pdf" which is the output file that is the most closing one to my expectation. Three of them, underlinec, underlinee, and underlinet, are defined with MPgraphic; the other one, underline, is defined only by textbeckground. I can only use the \underline command without MPgraphic, but it will draw lines too close to the text lines. The most wried thing is that if I use all the three MPgraphic defined underline, the vertical positions of underlines will be wrong and some underlines will not be drawn. The other problems are: - The English title is longer than the underline. I tried to figure out the reason, but in some other tex files, the problem is gone. I cannot reproduce it. - I don't know how to make the last two parts at the bottom of the coverage centered. I tried the following way but nothing happened. \definefloat[centered][table] \setupfloat[centered][default={none}] \placecentered{here,always,none}{} How can I make those underline acting as predicted? How to use MPgraphic with options?

Dear all, I need to use many rules with different lengths. Is there any way to implement function like below: \startuniqueMPgraphic{ARule}{length} draw origin -- (\MPvar{length},0) ; \stopuniqueMPgraphic \uniqueMPgraphic[length=5mm]{ARule} The example cannot be run. setup/startnarrower question

hi there, what would be the equivalent of the following \startnarrower[2*left,0*right] \stopnarrower using \setupnarrower ? my problem is that \setupnarrower takes dimensions, while \startnarrower takes... i am not sure what actually... \startnarrower[..,...,..] ... \stopnarrower ... n*left n*middle n*right and why does e.g. \setupnarrower[left=4em, right=0pt] still have a right side "margin" -f -- i quit drinking/smoking/& sex once. very boring 15 minutes.

Bug of description with underline.

Hi developers, I don't know where to issue a bug and don't find a bug report link in ConTeXt Garden, so I just send this mail. Here is the minimal example file to reproduce the bug. %============================================= \definetextbackground [underline] [location=paragraph, alternative=1, background=, frame=off] \definedescription[covertitle] [location=left] \starttext \startcovertitle{English Title:} \underline{Cost Based Rake Strength and Application: An Oriental View} \stopcovertitle \stoptext %============================================== The head of description will be a line height higher than the text part, if the \underline presents. If the \underline is not used, the output will be ok. I'm using TeXLive 2008 with ConTeXt rsyncd to current version (seemingly updated to 2008.12.25). And luatex is 0.35 snapshot.
