Hi, while comparing the PDF of mkii and mkiv I noticed a slight differ in the boundingboxes (bb) of MP figures. While all mkii bb have the form [0 0 w h], the mkiv counterparts use [-1 -1 w+1 h+1]. So the bb of mkiv is enlarged 1bp in all directions. Is this intended? Minimal example and PDF attached. bugs in beta

Hi Hans, so you're back from Bachotek and ready to attack the bugs? The beta you uploaded today is still badly broken. Most of this has been reported before; I just collect it here for your convenience :-) 1. The most urgent bug: The beta still fails to generate the files luatex-cache/context/XXX/names.tma and names.tmc. Which means only Latin Modern works, all other fonts fail. I get this both on OS X and linux; I have to use an older version to produce these files and copy them over. Once that is done, fonts work normally. 2. The new structure code doesn't expand xmlflushes in sections. How to prevent header at page bottom

Hi, I have defined my own header: \definehead[myhead][subsection] \setuphead[myhead][ page=no, number=no ] All works fine, except sometimes the head appears at page bottom and the text starts on the next page. How can I specify that if less than, say, 3 lines of text fit on the current page below the head, the head and text should start on the next page. Thanks in advance, Jos

bibmodule (again)

Hi, I don't want to sound like a whiner, but I was just wondering if there's any chance of having the bib module fixed. I have a paper to write within the next three weeks, and if bib doesn't work, I will have to use something else than ConTeXt. My problem is that numbered references do not produce any output. I attach a minimal example that gives the expected output in an older version of ConTeXt yet produces an empty citation in the most recent beta with the most recent bib module. mplib logging

Hi, how do I enable (verbose) logging of mplib? I have problems with a corrupt pdf (the last paint form xobject is empty: .../Fm6 Do Q endstream endobj). No errors or warnings in the ConTeXt log (actual? beta). The same code works with mkii. No minimal example yet. Peter

The ultimate (?) float problem

Dear all, I am close to give up, but maybe there is a solution... I have a book to typeset literally peppered with hundreds of little drawings which are supposed to appear irregularly surrounded by text flowing around them on all sides. -------------------------------- |xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | |xxxxx-----xxxxxxxxxxxxxx| |xxxxx| |xxxxxx----xxxx | |xxxxx|__|xxxxxx| |xxxx| |xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |__|xxxx| |xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx| -------------------------------- I naively imagine that should not be that hard to implement ;) Since we already have overlays it's no problem to place images in arbitrary places. It only remains to drill white holes in the text to make room for them. What about such procedure: 1. While building the line TeX checks if there is any overlay ahead. 2 if so, it puts empty hbox of the overlay width when it reaches necessary distance from the edge. 3. and does so for the number of lines which equal overlay height. Of course that leaves aside the problem of justification and without justification such page would probably look very ugly (I dare not to think if hz optimization, which I really got used to, would still work). \inmargin followed by \startlines = alignment fault?

Hi guys, I find that the `lines' environment (or description, itemize, etc.) after text in margin does not align right. Consider the following code: \starttext \inmargin{What I want} First line \crlf Second line \vskip 1cm \inmargin{What it renders} \startlines First line Second line \stoplines \stoptext The \crlf approach is the effect I want while the `lines' approach fails to do it. So is it a feature or a bug? Or I understand something totally wrong? I know I can put the \inmargin in the `lines' environment, but this time I really need it outside. Thanks.
