\typefile with filenames with $ characters in their name

\typefile balks on filenames with $ characters in their names. Anything I can do about that? G

Question. With \definetyping[SQL][option=color,numbering=line,bodyfont=9pt] \defineoverlay[ifsqoverlay][\overlayfigure{IfSQ-overlay.pdf}] \setuplayout[leftmargin=10mm,rightmargin=0mm,footer=0mm,header=5mm] \setuppapersize[A4,landscape][a4,landscape] \setupbackgrounds[page][background=ifsqoverlay] \setuptyping[SQL][palet=colorpretty] \setuppagenumbering[location=inleft] \def\typeSQLfile{\typefile[SQL]} \starttext why do I not see page numbers? Has this to do with my margins (I need to use as much space on the page as possible)? Thanks, G

add layer to page

Hi all, I have a vague memory that there was a message (by Wolfgang Schuster?) about this a couple of months ago, but I'm unable to find anything in the archives. What I want: add a layer on top of the current page. This page is created with the simpleslides-module, so it already contains several layers. I want something on top of all that, and I seem to remember that there was some option to say "typeset the current layers + this additional one." Can somebody help my memory? All best Thomas

Hello I used \placefigure just for centering the figure. And even if I put \startcombination directly, won't it reserve blank space for empty subcaptions? Hello, I have been using the following concept in MKII that fails in MKIV: \setupexternalfigures[directory={img,../povray/img}] % OK % desired figure located in "img/fig1.png" \externalfigure[fig1][width=\textwidth] % fails % desired figure located in "../povray/img/x/fig2.png" \externalfigure[x/fig2][width=\textwidth] Mojca (PS: enough MKIV bughunting for today ... back to MKII for a while :)

uppercase Greek in math: roman or italic?

Hello, I'm probably among the guilty ones ... in MKII and in LaTeX all the lowercase greek letters come out in italic, but all uppercase letters come out in roman shape. In MKIV now they both come out in italic. This has probably been done almost on purpose (or better: I knew about it, but didn't dare to care enough), but it would be nice to solve the issue somehow. It might make sense to allow or enable uppercase italic Greek letters in special cases, but it would be nice to have compatible behaviour. TeX has been there for a while and it has always behaved in some specific way (roman uppercase Greek in this particular case). It's funny if ConTeXt MKIV chooses another way with no particular reason. This question is not related to implementation so much (changing the default behaviour is easy; only enabling both variants would require some more configuration ...), I would only like to hear opinions. Hello, The following test file doesn't give bold sections no more with latest beta: \definetypeface[boldmath][mm][boldmath][modern] \setuphead[section][style=\boldmath\rm\bfb] \starttext \section{bla $bla$} bla \stoptext Could you help please?
