Hi all, a) I've reported this before; I ca1n't seem to wrap long URLs across lines in XeTeX $ pdfinfo x.pdf Title: x Subject: x Author: Mohamed Bana Creator: ConTeXt - 2008.10.31 13:58 Producer: xdvipdfmx (0.7.3) CreationDate: Tue Dec 1 17:19:25 2009 ModDate: Tue Dec 1 00:00:00 2009 Tagged: no Pages: 1 Encrypted: no Page size: 595.28 x 841.89 pts (A4) File size: 37209 bytes Optimized: no PDF version: 1.5 If I do this in LuaTeX it seems to work fine. \useURL[doilink][http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/32.689404][][\hyphenatedurl{ http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/32.689404}] \from[doilink] But with XeTeX it insists on overflowing into the margins or into another column. Having to do \useURL[doilink][http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/32.689404][][\hyphenatedurl{ http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/32.689404}] \from[doilink] is just unnecessary. I'm thinking \typeurl[<url>], that's it. c) Is there something wrong with using \footnote{<text>} whilst in a column? I can send the full example off-list. Just ping me. Thank you, —Mohamed

Flow chart does no longer put comments under connections

Hi All, I'm using ConTeXt on an Ubuntu 9.10 system. $ texexec --version TeXExec | version 6.2.0 - 1997-2006 - PRAGMA ADE/POD The log file says: This is pdfTeXk, Version 3.141592-1.40.3 (Web2C 7.5.6) (format=cont-en 2009.8.3) 1 DEC 2009 15:10 ConTeXt ver: 2008.05.21 15:21 MKII fmt: 2009.8.3 int: english/english It appears connection comments do not work in this version. For example the more sophisticated example from here: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Flow_Charts ignores the comments. See attachment (if that survives this emailing list). So basically this: \connection[rl] {lowpass1} \comment[t]{$x(t)$} \comment[b]{$X(t)$} does not work. You get the line, but not the comments. So basically two questions: 1. This used to work (Ubuntu 8.04). Is the problem solved in any newer version of ConTeXt? 2. If so, is there a way I can upgrade from within Ubuntu? -- All the best, Berend de Boer

Hello all, the subject says it all. Please see attachement. Another question: How can i easily access the stylisticsets in Zapfino? Have i to define fontfeatures for each set or is there a other way? best regards Bernhard

About \version[temporary]

Hi all, I have a question which can be elementary, but nevertheless it has some importance… When using cross references, one can somehow « visualize » the list of the cross references on each page with the command \version[temporary] However, in mkii at least, the list of the references is placed at the top of the page in the right margin and this is not very convenient when proof reading, especially in mathematical articles. It would be more handy to have each reference in the left (or right) margin of the line where it is defined or where it is invoked with the command « \in ». However I didn't manage to understand how this behaviour can be changed (various attempts with \setuplist[references] had no effect). (By the way, in mkiv, the list is not shown). Can anyone give an insight?

bibliography authoryears problem

When using refcommand=authoryears and Mk IV the first reference is formatted incorrectly. There is the left parenthesis, then a line break, then the rest of the reference followed by the right parenthesis. With MkII it comes out correctly. And in MkIV, every reference except the first is correct. This is similar to a problem reported in another thread, but I don't see how the resolution proposed there applies here. http://archive.contextgarden.net/message/20091116.073439.c2549ecb.en.html It isn't a crucial thing for me. I can use MkII when I need to use this citation style. I'm just submitting this as a possible bug report. This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.46.0-2009112820 \write18 enabled. (bib-test.tex ConTeXt ver: 2009.12.01 17:09 MKIV fmt: 2009.12.1 int: english/ english I'm attaching three files: the source, the bibliography, and the pdf output that I get.

simpleslides: titlestyle

problem with texmf-local on Vista

Hi, I am a user of Context from the old days, and usually don't need much help installing the software. However, I am needing to use Contextminimals for the first time, as Miktex 2.8 has dropped Context support. My problem is that I have a lot of my own setups and personal fonts and Contextminimals seems to have some problem dealing with local setups. I am using MkII by the way but these problems seem to exist in MkIV also. I have a font, Univers, installed to texmf-local with texfont and Context claims it cannot find the font definitions. running texexec I get the following: !pdfTeX error: pdftex.exe (file 8r-raw-punr8a): Font 8r-raw-punr8a at 432 not found ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!
