Hello, I'd have one more question. I need to have many \subsubject behind each other (again: actually processing an external file, but a small example is attached): --- \setupbodyfont[11pt] \starttext \subsubsubject{001} \subsubsubject{002} \subsubsubject{003} \subsubsubject{004} \subsubsubject{005} \subsubsubject{006} \subsubsubject{007} \subsubsubject{008} \subsubsubject{009} \subsubsubject{010} \subsubsubject{011} \subsubsubject{012} \subsubsubject{013} \subsubsubject{014} \subsubsubject{015} \subsubsubject{016} \subsubsubject{017} \subsubsubject{018} \subsubsubject{019} \subsubsubject{020} \subsubsubject{021} % Last visible on the page \subsubsubject{022} \subsubsubject{023} \subsubsubject{024} \subsubsubject{025} \subsubsubject{026} \stoptext --- The problem is that typesetting n-th \subsubject doesn't go to the next page, but is typeset on the same page, so that the last ones disappear. It's a memory+CPU issue so not too serious nowadays. Also you lua is designed to be small and it's easy to compile luatex for different targets. -- luigi

Synonyms: difference between mkii and mkiv?

Headers must not be the last object on the page

I'm getting headers as the last item on a page. Following content appears on the next page. I would like to have headers not be separated from their content by a page break. Is there a way to say "if a header is the last thing on the page, place it on the next page instead"? I am aware of the "before={\testpage[n]\blank}" trick, but this only applies when you need a specific amount of lines. Because the following content may be a figure, float, table, or other large object, the space required will vary. I just want the header to know that it must not be the last object on the page. Is this possible? Thank you very much for your help.

Hi all, please have a look at the following example \starttext \showframe \startbuffer \startitemize[n,fit][left={Abb. },distance=.5em] \item \dorecurse{20}{eins } \item \dorecurse{20}{zwei } \item \dorecurse{20}{drei } \stopitemize \stopbuffer \bTABLE % it works if you comment out the table \bTR\bTD \getbuffer \eTD\eTR \eTABLE \getbuffer \stoptext It seems that using itemize in TABLE disturbs the following lists. Hello, a stopper option resets item to default value. I expect a) and b) instead of big dot in the first itemize. mkiv current version: 2010.10.06 10:20 \starttext \startitemize[a,stopper=)] \item one. \item two. \stopitemize \startitemize[a] \item one. \item two. \stopitemize \stoptext Regards, Marius

Dear CJK experts, I am looking to add furigana (readings) above the Kanji (Chinese characters) in a Japanese text. "Inline" enumerations

Hi, is there an easy way to adapt ConTeXt's enumerations not to start another paragraph? Something like (a) this (b) is (c) a short enumeration. In fact, I'd like to be able to something even more tricky: I would like to be able to prepare a "teacher's version" and a "student's version" of a problem set. Something like this: Teacher's version: 1. <Problem>. Hint: <hint - if present>. Solution: <solution - if present>. Answer: <answer - if present>. 2. <Another problem>. Hint: <hint - if present>. Solution: <solution - if present>. Answer: <answer - if present>. ... Student's version: 1. Problem. (Hint: <hint - if present>) 2. Problem. ... Asnwers ======= 1. Answer. 2. Answer. ... Question for wiki authors

Hi, As you may know, Patrick and I are constantly reviewing the edits on the wiki to filter out bad people(tm). In doing so, it is not always immediately obvious who is doing what because the 'recent changes' list quite often does not contain a useful summary message. This is understandable, but it would really help if everybody would at least put something in the Summary field. On a related note: I think it would be nice if the people that use a wildly different ID on the wiki from their emails on the list could create a short wiki page under their user name so that we can easily make the connection to a 'known person'. This is not a requirement at all, but it would be really handy during administration, so if you do not mind putting such a page up, please do. Thanks, Taco

Announcing TLContrib

Hello everybody, Please allow me to introduce a new project: TLContrib. TLContrib is a website + repository that hosts contributed packages for TeX Live 2010. The packages on TLContrib are packages that are not distributed inside TeX Live proper for one or another of following reasons: * because it is not free software according to the Debian guidelines; * because it is a binary update; * because it is not available on CTAN; * because it is an intermediate release for testing. In short, anything TeX-related that can not be on TeX Live but can still legally be distributed over the Internet can have its place on TLContrib. The ultimate goal is to provide a companion to the core TeX Live tlnet distribution in much the same way as Debian's non-free tree is a companion to their normal, 100% free software distribution. The goal is not to replace TeX Live: package and updates that can be part of TeX Live itself should stay (or be added) there. TLContrib is simply trying to fill in a gap in the current distribution system. Quick start: to use TLContrib as a TeX Live repository, point the TeX Live package manager to http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/2010/ For more detailed information, visit the website: http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/ The current version of the website is preliminary, and much can still be improved. Even so, both the website and the repository are fully functional and can be used for both the publication of packages and as a repository source for the TeX Live package manager. Currently included in the repository are: * context 2010.07.30 * the context cow fonts * luatex 0.63.0 (but not yet for all architectures) * metapost 1.502 (also not for all architectures) Currently, there are binary updates for i386-linux, universal-darwin win32, x86_64-darwin, and x86_64-linux. Mojca Miklavec and myself are working hard on providing the missing architectures soon. This announcement is also a call for more contributors: if you are the maintainer of a package that you would like to see distributed but that for one reason or another can not or should not be in the core TeX Live distribution, please consider adding it to TLContrib.
