I'm curious what Chinese font(s) you are using with ConTeXt? Are they OpenType font, or TrueType? hi, Is there any way to automatically control the spacing between Chinese and non-Chinese characters? I noticed that there is a tracker that tracks character types and annotates them. But I don't know much about lua and the underlying tex. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. For example, glue is automatically added between Chinese characters and English or numbers. input: 今天出去买菜花了5000元。 will get: 今天出去买菜花了 5000 元。 ---------------------------------- input: 新MacBook Pro有15%的CPU性能提升。 will get: 新 MacBook Pro 有 15% 的 CPU 性能提升。 Muyik

Metapost and write to file...

Hello! I think that I am missing something here. I should use an older file of mine, where some data calculated by METAPOST should be written to a file. However in the latest version of CONTEXT luametatex exits with error code 1 when running this minimal example. What has changed? Hi, since the latest update, I have differences in line/paragraph/page breaking. I should have expected that vz and granular aren’t stable yet, but maybe it’s a problem in my setup and not even related to that update. * widow and orphan penalties seem to work different, preferring empty lines over single lines. * looseness doesn’t seem to work any more. Hi again, Besides having a solution for the mailing list server inadvertently spamming unsuspecting people through scripted form submits (see my recent message), there is also another update: the mailing lists of both ntg.nl <http://ntg.nl/> and contextgarden.net <http://contextgarden.net/> now use DKIM signing for their outgoing messages. syntax highlighting: pandoc uses Kate

Hi, since we recently discussed editor support and syntax highlighting: Pandoc can use definitions from Kate[1] for syntax highlighting in a code block via "--syntax-definition". There’s also ConTeXt support (MkIV/LMTX): https://kate-editor.org/syntax/data/syntax/context.xml Apparently, it can switch contexts to Lua, XML, MetaPost etc. But the list of commands is quite short. In case the author (Philipp A.) is listening: Is this intentional (“not necessary, highlight everything that starts with a backslash”)? Otherwise it probably would make sense to read in the interface files (i-*.xml). I can’t tell if it would make sense to support this syntax via a module (like scite and vim). first line in different font

Hi guys, Is it possible to set the first line of an indented paragraph in a different font? I saw it in a book. There, the first line was indented to half the line width (\setupindenting[yes, .5\textwidth]) and set in smallcaps. Any hints? Thanks in advance Thomas
