inserting figure labels

Placing a float figure with \placefigure[][]{labeltext}{\externalfigure[]} delivers a figure with a label like "Figure V.3 labeltext" (depending on the setup) Now I want to intersperse this with an \externalfigure[] not within a placefigure but still accompanied by a label in the current running series. For example an uninterrupted series of figure numbers with: \placefigure[][]{labeltext-1}{\externalfigure[figure1]} % -> Figure 1 labeltext-1 \externalfigure[figure-2] \macrocall{labeltext-2} % -> Figure 2 labeltext-2 \placefigure[][]{labeltext-3}{\externalfigure[figure3]} % -> Figure 3 labeltext-3 I could not find what macro to call as the instance for \macrocall. dr. placing content in footers

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setuppapersize[A8] \setuppagenumbering [alternative=doublesized] \setupfootertexts [even-right] [even-left] [odd-right] [odd-left] %~ [even-middle] %~ [odd-middle] \starttext \mbox{}\page\mbox{} \stoptext Is there any way to place content in the middle of doublesided footers, besides left and right contents? suggestions for \definefontfamily and \definefallbackfamily

Hi Wolfgang, as I reported the issue with the fonts and LMTX, I remembered two suggestions I wanted to post here. The first one is enabling the use of "method=uppercase" in \definefallbackfamily (to get fake caps, such as in https://mailman.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2018/092878.html). The second feature is to enable \definefontfamily to load font files not part of the font database, the same way as \definefont is able to load them. Hi! I have a table with 39 columns (the file is attached). With the context version: ConTeXt Process Management 1.01 current version: 2017.05.15 21:48 I don't have any problem; but with the newer version: ConTeXt Process Management 1.02 current version: 2019.04.29 08:52 show the next error: tex error > tex error on line 114 in file /home/fmolina/tempo/latex/context/pbas/ts.tex: ! font selection in LMTX

Hi Hans, using the following sample: \definefontfamily[mainface][rm][TeX Gyre Heros] \definefontfamily[mainface][mm][TeX Gyre Termes Math] \definefontfamily[mainface][ss][Gill Sans MT][tf=file:GIL_____.TTF] \definefontfamily[mainface][tt][Cousine] \definefontfamily[mainface][cg][Arial Narrow][tf=file:ARIALN.TTF] \setupbodyfont[mainface] \startbuffer \ConTeXt\ is awesome!\par \stopbuffer \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=1em] \getbuffer \ss\getbuffer \tt\getbuffer \cg\getbuffer \stopTEXpage \stoptext I have no problem to get all four fonts with MkIV, but with LMTX I don’t get \cg or \ss. pretty printers

Hi all, according to our wiki, there are pretty printers in ConTeXt implemented only for TEX, LUA, XML and MP. I am searching now for PHP pretty printer but I did not find anything on the net (only C and Java). I would like to ask whether is something for PHP (or for other programming languages) available. joinedup not working within footnote within itemize

Hello, I need to have itemize with "joinedup" option inside footnote which comes within itemize: ---- \starttext A% \startitemize[][] \item ItemA% \footnote{% Some text \startitemize[joinedup][] % <<< "joinedup" doesn't work here <<< \item Item1 \item Item2 \stopitemize } \item ItemB% \stopitemize \stoptext ---- Here, there is an unwanted blank line between "Item 1" and "Some text". How to avoid or to remove the unwanted blank line? (A solution for ConTeXt "pre-LMTX" would be preferred, due to the fact that I was not able (so far) to rebuild all Lua extensions (.dll) from 5.3 ("pre-LMTX" Ctx) to 5.4 (Ctx - "LMTX") version.) issue with page numbering

Dear list, inspired by strc-pag.mkiv, I have the following sample: \setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided] \setupsubpagenumber[way=bychapter] \starttext \dorecurse{5}{\startchapter[title=My Chapter] \userpagenumber/\lastuserpagenumber--- \subpagenumber/\lastsubpagenumber \stopchapter} \stoptext I need that chapters start on an odd page. Is there any way to avoid that \lastsubpagenumber counts the blank page that might be placed among two chapters? Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

When trying to upload an image I get following error message: "Could not open lock file for "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/c/c2/wiki-yfrak-mtxrun-pattern.png". Make sure your upload directory is configured correctly and your web server has permission to write to that directory." I have been logged in my wiki page "Fraktur fonts". Please, can I do anything else than filling in the asked question boxes of "https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Special:Upload"? Rudolf

tex.month can't be overridden like tex.day and tex.year

Dear list, in the following document I can set the date as seen by LuaTeX so the date functions use a different date: --- \starttext \ctxlua{tex.year=1980; tex.month=1; tex.day=15} % Taken from https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/date, % outputs 15 may 1980 \date[m=1][day,~,{\monthshort\normalmonth},~,year] % outputs January 15, 1980 \ctxlua{context.date{m=tex.month};} \stoptext --- This works for all parts of the date (even the weekday), except the month. I've looked through the core-con.lua and found nothing that would explain this (or what I'd need to change), as the tex.month is properly set. Best regards Tristan
