readposition() in mkiv font-dsp.lua

Hi, I am using luaotfload.sty in TexLive 2019, that is latex. On my mac, everything is flawlessly working. But I've heard from somebody that NotoSansCJKkr-Regular etc fonts are not usable on Windows machine; so I tested on 32-bit Windows 10 virtual machine with small memory (2GB) and it was really unusable. I did some digging into the source code of luaotfload package. Now I have a guess that readposition() in font-dsp.lua might be the culprit. For instance, when format == 0x04 and the result of readshort(f) == 0, then the return value of the function is currently "true". After it has been changed to "false", NotoSansCJKkr fonts are working quite well on 32-bit Windows. With the same changes of readposition() on my 64-bit Mac, the elapsed time for making cache file of NotoSansCJK fonts has been dramatically reduced: from 25 seconds to 10 seconds. And the resulting cache file is perfectly the same as before. So I would like to suggest those return values to be changed to "false". Certainly, I do not know much about opentype spec, so I might be wrong and there could be good reasons for current code state. Regards, -- Dohyun Kim Seoul, Republic of Korea

Test XML node registration

Having a series of nodes in setups in a helper module: \startxmlsetups xmlcommon:setups \xmlsetsetup{#1}{error|comment|... etcetera}{xmlcommon:*} \stopxmlsetups \xmlregistersetup{xmlcommon:setups} I would like to check if a certain node is in that series of nodes. For example doing \doifelse{\xmltag{#1}}... where the true branch is taken when \xmltag{#1} is one of those registered in the xmlcommon:setups. Is that possible? Then what macro has to be called? dr. \xmlfirst lookup over whole document

Hi, I am trying to use \xmlfirst to find a reference that is not in the current node. In the manual there is the exmple: {\xmlfirst {example-3-1} {div[@class='footnotes']/ol/li[@id='\xmlrefatt{#1}{href}']}} This is quite close to what I need, but I am not processing a buffer. How can I use this lookup mechanism to look over the current file/all nodes? Best, Denis

Modifying the place of the year in APA.

In the publ-imp-apa.mkvi (is it already VI?) I found the key line which I would like to modify: \startsetups btx:apa:list:book \texdefinition{btx:apa:authoryear} \texdefinition{btx:apa:title-if-not-placed} ... \stopsetups This, as I understand, determines the order in which the items are listed. I need to: 1. place the year in the end 2. remove parentheses. Do I start with btx:apa:authoryear and redefine it? Do I use \texdefinition{btx:apa:suffixedyear} separately? and: in the following, where is the parenthesis? \starttexdefinition unexpanded btx:apa:suffixedyear \btxdoifelse {year} { \btxflush{year} \btxflushsuffix \btxdoif {month} { % month and day optional in publ-imp-apa.lua \btxcomma \btxflush{month} \btxdoif {day} { \btxspace \btxflush{day} } } }

Bibliography APS Style without unpublished

Hi all, is there an option to eliminate the "unpublished" in aps bibliography? I understand that apa and aps are the only implemented styles. Is there any other style I can use? TIA juh

xmldoif, \startSECTION ... \stopSECTION and \setuphead

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setuphead[chapter] [beforesection=\TeX, aftersection=\TeX] \starttext \startchapter[title=Chapter, beforesection=\ConTeXt, aftersection=\ConTeXt] This is my chapter. \stopchapter \stoptext After checking i-context, the options for the second pair of brackets are: KEY = VALUE Well, I think this is the standard case. Aren’t values inherited from \setuphead? What would be the valid keys for this case? I need to use \xmldoif in beforesection and aftersection. As far as I can see, it doesn’t work inside \setuphead. What would be my approach to deal with "\xmldoif{#1}{.[@id='topic' and contains(@class,'hidden')]}" in beforesection? I realize that "\definehead[specialchapter][chapter]" would be a workaround, but I would like to find a more proper solution. Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

Which math font for LinLibertine family?

Hi all, the font family LinLibertine (ConTeXt from TL2018 and older) does not contain any math font. On the file type-imp-libertine.mkiv there is a (disabled) line joining math from times family. Is the times math the best for LinLibertine or would you recommend me something else (from the design point of view)? What is the best way how to add math to the existing typescript? (I would like to avoid changing the file from the installation.) Best wishes Tomáš
