Thanks to both of you for pointing this out to me. Up till now I have never used unicode characters the way Idris proposes and I’m not sure that I already have the skills to make it work. Bibliographies in mkiv - announcement and WARNING!

ANNOUNCEMENT The MKII bibliography module (\usemodule[bib]), described in http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Bibliography has undergone, first a re-write, keeping up with MKIV, then a complete re-conception of the handling of bibliographies. We introduced into the core of MKIV a dataset subsystem, not necessarily limited to the generation of bibliographic lists. This new subsystem has been part of the distribution for some time and an early first draft of its documentation had been made available. After putting the new system to heavy use in a real, bibliographic-intensive book project, and after much fighting back-and-forth over specifications and design choices, the upcoming beta standalone distribution will finally contain this completely revamped subsystem. Note that it is not yet complete, but has been stabilized enough to make this revision available. The rewritten documentation is not quite ready yet either, but a completely rewritten new draft will be made available in a very short time. We promise! * WARNING * As details of the interface have changed and the documentation is not quite there yet, do not attempt to use this for any serious project for the moment. And if you are presently using the pre-beta version of the new subsystem that has been distributed with the standalone, DO NOT UPDATE your standalone unless you are prepared to see some changes. I know that paragraph footnotes are less common, but a smaller font with the same line space of the main text is ugly. Is there a workaround? Where should I look for a solution? I tried to modify the interline space in "before" parameter, without success. I looked at strc-not.mkvi, but it's too difficult for me (at least for now), since I'm new to ConTeXt (and TeX). bug in \setupsectionblock and page={yes, blank}

Dear list, I have just discovered a weird issue: \setuppapersize[A6] \setupsectionblock[frontpart][page={yes, blank}] \setupsectionblock[bodypart] [page={yes, header, footer}] \setupsectionblock[backpart] [page={yes, blank}] \starttext \startfrontmatter \dorecurse{2}{\chapter{Front Matter}\input knuth} \stopfrontmatter \startbodymatter \dorecurse{2}{\chapter{Body Matter}\input knuth} \stopbodymatter \startbackmatter \dorecurse{2}{\chapter{Back Matter}\input knuth} \stopbackmatter \stoptext Page number is removed from the first chapter after the sectionblock when the page={yes, blank} is used. Hi all, I would like to use something like a "half-space" or small space in a situation where neither no space, nor a normal space is ideal. See the ME: --------------------------------- \usemodule[simplefonts] \setmainfont[Verdana] \setupbodyfont[10pt] \starttext On the third beat a 6th between bass and tenor, {\em \lohi{B}{g}}, moves to the octave {\em \lohi{A}{a} . \medskip On the third beat a 6th between bass and tenor, {\em \lohi{B}{g}} , moves to the octave {\em \lohi{A}{a}} . \stoptext -------------------------------- Without a space after {\em \lohi{B}{g}}, the normal situation, the comma is too close to the B, (and the period too close to the A), suggesting some superscript. A normal space does not look nice (but if necessary I could live with it) Is there an intermediate size for a space somehow? Thanks in advance. Bets regards, Robert Blackstone

Update text variables inside metapost

Why the metapost not updated the value of text variables that are generated inside luacode environment?
