page breaks before titles

Hello, I'm trying to typeset a book made of letters with ConTeXt. Every letter has a title a subtitle and a date, before it starts with "Dear ..." Like this: --------------------------------- Title subtitle where, when Dear ..., the rest of the letter ... --------------------------------- The letters are very different in length -- some are long, some are made of a couple of lines --, so I'd like to typeset them continuously, without skipping to a new page every new letter (\setuphead[LetterTitle][page=no]). This way a letter could finish beyond the half of a page, and the next one could have no space left to get the part from Title to the first lines of the body on the same page. That's why I disabled page breaks from Title to the first paragraph after "Dear ...": it would be ugly having only the title in one page and the rest in the next ones. But there's a side effect: the title of the new letter "pulls" the last two lines (the penalties are set to avoid one-line widows) of the previous letter to the new page, even when there's room for them on the previous page. In this case I would like ConTeXt to break the page at the end of the previous letter, before the next letter title. That's why I've set before={\blank[2*line]\page[preference]} in LetterTitle. But it does not work. Add labels to a grid (Metafun)

To add labels to a grid, Hans wrote a macro hlintext (Min, Max, Step, Lenght , Format). I do not know what to put in "Format". Using the standalone ConTeXt, how do I add access to my texmf-local tree

I’m trying to migrate to mkiv and I’m running into a host of troubles. Here is one: publications > wrote a new auxiliary file 'prd_book.aux' This is BibTeX, Version 0.99d (TeX Live 2014) The top-level auxiliary file: prd_book.aux The style file: cont-no.bst I couldn't open database file gwierda.bib ---line 3 of file prd_book.aux : \bibdata{gwierda : } The reason is that by using this command (. /usr/local/src/ConTeXt/tex/setuptex && context test.tex) I may have the latest ConTeXt compiling test.tex (it just adds that to te front of PATH), but I’ve lost access to additions I keep in /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local and ~/Library/texmf) How do I make sure the standalone ConTeXt gets access to these? makeup in right (or odd) page?

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setuppapersize[A5] \definemakeup[colophon][page={yes, blank, right}] \starttext \dorecurse{6}{\input zapf} \startmakeup[colophon] This is the colophon \stopmakeup I need to have the colophon in an odd page. Get rid of caption on an intermezzo.

I managed after many trips to the Wiki to get a text frame pretty much as I want it, with text wrapping around and so on. But the technique requires using an intermezzo as a wrapper. This feature always puts a title like "intermezzo 1" at the bottom. How do I get rid of this title? Remember why Prof. Knuth set out to create TeX? We will continue in this spirit also during the forthcoming BachoTeX conference. Here is Andrzej Tomaszewski's rationale: Texts formed into direct or abstract writings and pictures are inseparable elements of the visual presentation of thought. During the millennia of our civilization this method of peoples communication reached the ability to record precisely scientific, social and artistic statements. Typography is an art of organizing text and in a broader context - publications as a whole. Text structures receive different shapes: from a sequence of simple sentences through futuristic poetry, statisticians tables, mathematicians formulas linguists dictionaries and even programmers listings. Sequences of alphanumeric signs require proper treatment – for once as a material for data processing and second, as a communique created for human readers consumption. This is what we will be talking about during BachoTeX. Papers/presentations ==================== Of course we look forward to the normal mix of TeX, MetaPost, ConTeXt, LaTeX, and friends related presentations. Please not not forget fonts! siunitx feature in unit module

Hi, with siunitx LaTeX package its possible to obtain physics units like m/s printed in different way changing one option: e.g. \si{\metre\per\second} produce ms^{-1} \si[per-mode=symbol]{\metre\per\second} produce m/s \si[per-mode=fraction]{\metre\per\second} produce \frac{m}{s} have the unit module the same feature?
