I currently have a problem setting the indices of a book. A minimal example \defineregister[mouse][mice] \setupregister[mouse][n=2,balance=no] \defineregister[house][houses] \setupregister[house][n=2,balance=no] \starttext rodents\mouse{rats+large} home\house{ranch+split-level} \page \placeregister[mouse] \placeregister[house] \stoptext places the second register on its own page. How can I get the second register on the same page as the first? Alan

Hi, LaTeX "index" command doesn't need an anchor in order to print the page number. Sometimes you can't give the ConTeXt-Command "index" any anchor. Think of an external figure on a page and nothing else, without any text. When I say, for instance: \index{Brigitte Bardot}\strut I get a correct index, but an unsolicited extra empty page, too. What could be a solution? My ConTeXt version is: "ConTeXt ver: 2014.11.12 21:46 MKIV beta fmt: 2014.11.14" Greetings, Rudolf

TikZ on the garden

Hi, What exactly should I to do with respect to TikZ on the garden (for the minimals)? Switch to the version of TikZ and pgfplots from TL 2014 + replace t-tikz.tex with Hans' version and freeze in that state until TikZ is fixed upstream? Or just freeze at whatever version is in CVS at the moment and patch t-tikz.tex and wait for the patch? Any other/better suggestions? And what version of pgfplots should I take? Does anyone need the latest functionality of TikZ or pgfplots? Ideally it would be nice if TikZ was fixed upstream, but developers are currently busy and would like to understand patches before applying them, so it might take a while before the code gets fixed. I hate having to use CVS to go back in time (svn or git would be easier to deal with; what date to use for CVS), but if that's the only option ... Mojca

typeset chapter elements

I would like to vary the typesetting of chapter titles by formatting the elements chapternumber, title and the word 'chapter' myself. However, the style values of the parameter setup from \setuphead[chapter][] should be used. Needed for this is access to and/or the naming scheme of the paramters: style, textstyle, numberstyle, color, textcolor, numbercolor. To clarify further, in \def\mychaptercode#1#2{...} \setuphead[chapter][command=mychaptercode] the #1 parameter gives the chapternumber typeset in a form that is just not how I want it. Thus instead of using #1 in the code for \mychaptercode I am using \headnumber[chapter]. But then cannot imagine how to set the right style and color. Finally, how is the macro containing the expansion for the chapter,sectiion-designation recalled? It is the macro defined by for example \setuplabeltext[chapter=Hoofdstuk ]. The reference manual does not reveal this as far as I can see. Yhanks in advance for either an answer or a pointer where to find the info. Hans van der Meer

Hi, I once used \defineenumeration[proof][ text=Proof, closesymbol=\mathematics{\square}, closecommand=\ifmmode\eqno\else\wordright\fi, ] \starttext \startproof This is a simple proof. \stopproof \startproof This is another simple proof that ends with a formula \startformula 1+1=2. \stopformula \stopproof \stoptext to get the \square at the end of proofs, and it worked out well. But with the latest beta (and some previous one(s)), the \square is not placed at the same line as the formula in the second example. Is it broken? Or is there a new syntax? mail merge in mkiv?

Dear list, I would like to be able to use ConTeXt at work for mail merging. The issue here is that I don’t have any clue on how to do it with MKIV. I don’t even know whehter this is possible at all. BTW, searching for "merge" at the wiki, I found http://wiki.contextgarden.net/An_Update_On_Essential_Elements_In_how_can_i_…, which seems spam to me. Is there any way to do mail merge with mkiv?
